I have a few 3ds games I am done with that I could trade in, will there be a box version for PC at Gamestop? can I activate it on steam?

Don't know about a boxed version, but it's a Steamworks game, so no matter where you buy it, it's for Steam.

The little console footage we've seen hasn't looked that good, but if you are used to playing on consoles then you might not notice it as much as someone like me.
I personally couldn't stand playing a shooter without KB/M and 60+fps.
Everything I have said so far is completely subjective though, so pick it up where you want.

Yeah and time is actually moving at a reasonable pace. It doesnt seem like that long ago I made the thread.

And the Boys of Silence make me think of the Don Henley song "Boys of Summer." Well ill be damned, more 80s.

But you won't get the Steam gift items! However, can't you turn in those games and buy a Steam gift card and then buy on Steam. Boom . . . you get the original Bioshock, 7 TF2, items, and (hopefully) a copy of the fucking awesome game X-Com. (assuming X-Com unlocks).

part of the fun of august 07 was seeing the perfect scores rolling in and going, "well... holy crap"
so, nah right now low expectations. let's say in the 80s. it'll be a normal game. nothing special.

First two weeks went quickly. GO the next two weeks!
High 80s to low 90s. I don't think the gameplay has evolved enough to be given the same scores as the original.

What the hell are they doing to my girl?? I swear they change Bookers design like their pants.
Really? Because Batman 2, which is not only worse, also didn't really evolve anything, scored better than the original. In fact, on PS3 it's the third highest rated game.
I am going to want to keep replaying this just for the roller coaster effect alone. Looks fun as hell.

I'm certainly hoping for at least 90. This game really shouldn't be rated any lower than Mass Effect 3.

If going open world is "not really [evolving]" then yes, nothing of note. (Though I'm with you that I prefer the AA)
Them feels I'm feeling, feel so good.
I can't wait, this game is going to be something else.

I really hope that irational nails the encounter design in this one. The combination of the game's tonics, weapons, enemies, tears and the skyhook could be amazing. I really hope they cash in on that.
This was my first reaction as well. I personally would have preferred gameplay footage, but I guess if you are trying to capture someone's attention that doesn't know about the game this is how you do it.

I found the commercial to be pretty underwhelming actually. They should've just used the original "Beast From America" or "The Lamb of Columbia" trailers instead. Show some actual footage. No CGI bullshit (although it did look fantastic).

What I like about the Skyhook sections is that it seems, at least to some degree, that it is not literally always 'on rails.' Was nice to see that you can jump off at points, rather than just going along for the ride. But it still looks like an adrenaline rush all the same. Sliding around and kicking ass in a gorgeous city in the clouds that is full of character? Yes please.
The on the rails firefights are really gonna be something else too.
They completely changed the design for AC whilst making an impressive open world.
With this it just seems its Bioshock with different skins and whilst there is nothing wrong with that, I just feel it can't justify a 96 meta rating.
