I'm actually addicted too and is the only thing I've played for the last two weeks. Had no idea about Cilia being like that.

Why are you liking it so much? Played the PC version a few days ago, and didnt think people here would like it this much. (Knytt Underground related)

Edit: BUY PERSONA 3 PORTABLE

Yeah, the way it handles the story is totally low-key. It goes into depth about this story hook in a really intriguing manner, but only if you either actively search it out or discover it through playing tons of the game. I really do mean TONS because the map is freaking huuuuuge in the final part of the game and can take weeks to fill it all out.

I already have, I'm now waiting for that P2 PSX game to be $5, and P4G and VLR to go on sale.

P4G won't go on sale till the end of this year probably...

Also, played Awesomenauts on PSN for the first time last night. I would love that game on Vita.

OK this is probably really stupid, but when looking at games on PSN, how do you check how big the game is? I'm thinking of getting some PSP/PS1 games for my vita, but I have no idea how much memory I need :/

Thanks

You buy it then see if you have room. Thats the EU store anyway.

edit
Actually I think some of the PSP games have sizes. Vita ones dont though.

It doesnt show on the store until you buy it. Only chance is googling/asking around here.

I really hope the DoA5+ or Soul Sacrifice demo will be out later today. I want something new to play on my Vita, and the sales aren't doing it for me. :/

I feel I haven't done a very good job explaining my reasoning for not choosing to purchase. I love rhythm games and I feel like if I purchased DJMax, it would completely dissolve my willpower to play any other game on my backlog. rhythm games have a tendency to overwhelm my ability to play any other type of game for months at a time since they are so easy to sit down and play for small chunks. Then the need to keep improving results in hours upon hours spent playing the same tracks, just destroying my core gaming time. I'm really not all that great at the genre to start with, lol. I am merely using my indifference to J/K-Pop as a genre as one of the reasons I am not purchasing this game.

I want to get it, but I don't want to get it.

This is really, really irritating to read, because the DJMax series was seriously in need of sales to stay afloat. By all indications, the entire franchise is in the process of winding down worldwide because it just isn't making enough money to sustain itself - arcade updates have ceased with no indications of a sequel and DLC plans for Technika Tune seem to have gone up in smoke. For people to abstain from purchasing a game they'd enjoy knowing all this... I have no words.

I caved and bought Dynasty Warriors Next even though I got it free from Japan PS+. Ahhhh, I'm a Dynasty Warriors sucker~!!

It's tempting me too, but since I've still got around 2/3's of Senran Kagura to beat, I can wait and hold out for it to be a free in a PS+ update.

Tales of Hearts R is sucking up alot of gaming time as well.

Thanks, I'm from the UK so I guess I'm out of luck. Kinda crap really, would be okay if the Memory cards weren't so expensive.

what games? im on US store now so I can check for you if your area doesnt show size and if its available here

I was thinking of getting the first three Resident Evil games and the two God of War PSP games. Thanks.

Yep, I rang 4 bells and I think I've only mapped like 65% of the world.

Edit: BUY PERSONA 3 PORTABLE

I posted my impressions earlier, it's very charming and feels very organic as a game and not 'gamey' at all without being one of those snobbish art games.

It still has some of the sizes on the UK store, you just need to check in the game summary somewhere. It's a shame there's not some kind of standardized information for it, though.

I don't see why memory card prices make a difference..?

because if memory cards didnt cost a million dollars space would be a non-issue

Seems like the bigger problem is not knowing how much space he'd need. Which is what he said.

Edit : Sorry if that came across a little blunt, but knowing how to manage the space you have is a good idea. It would be more helpful if Sony put the download sizes on every game, though.

Think a Metroidvania game without combat. Which is good for me because I hate combat in the Metroid games.

Thinking about it im pretty sure most psp and PSX games do have the size at the bottom of the summery. But for some really annoying reason the Vita ones don't.

As someone said earlier though, you can check the website as the sizes should be on there.

I'm a huge metroidvania fan so i thought Kyntt would be up my alley. I loved the first 2 chapters, but the pacing to the third just ruined it for me.

If it was more episodic, like, take chapter 3 and make it 5-7 chapters, I'm sure I'd still play. As it stands, I don't know if I'll ever touch it again.

Sad really

To each his own.

Game looks cool though. How much is it?

Are their any other metroidvania type games available for vita other than symphony of the night?

That's too bad but yeah, that's the idea of the game. The first two chapters are like a tutorial and the third one is this big exploration game. I don't fully get what you mean by pacing since you are setting the pacing yourself though and if you use the chaos you can finish the game pretty quickly.

The first two chapters in length seem like nice little sessions to me, almost like sword and sworcery (if you played that). Once you hit chapter 3, that completely changes and they are just like "yup, here ya go"

i wandered for about an hour and said no thanks

Ugh I hated S&S so much. Never trusting Capybara again. Different strokes I guess.

So I thought I would give TiTs another go.

Load file

Chapter 2 and 20 hours of playtime.

OK lets do this.

1 hour later of slug paced pointless events (text).

This game has to get better at somepoint right?

Im at the point where
the orphanage burns down

Should I expect this kinda pacing and story for the rest of the game or does it pick up into something interesting soonish?

I really want to like this game. I just keeps literally sending me to sleep when I play it in bed.

Trails in the sky does not get better.
It is a mildly charming VERY boring game.

The comments for the new Import post on the blog really drains your enthusiasm. Half "It's in Japanese??", half "I want /unrelated series by unrelated publisher/ instead!".

It was 250% more expensive with fedex than shipping something within NA.

That's why I've never seen people use it! The one benefit is that Fedex is (to my knowledge) the only shipper that you can send lithium batteries overseas with, and a must if you're importing any electronics.

Back to HSG, I'm currently going for the No Rough crown on the No Spin challenge and I made it to the last hole before landing in Semi Rough which I guess was enough to DQ from crown. So frustrating! At this rate I'll be able to Max every character and buy every item.

Any word on when I'll be able to buy Kat?

Its funny because when the Vita first came out a lot of games got praised and everyone was buying them left and right. But when it came down to it was only because we had nothing to play. TiTS seems to be one of these and to be honest HSG and P3P felt the same way to me.

But it was cheaper than UMS/UPS and I don't want that economy air bubble shit with no tracking that takes 21 days.

This thing is coming tomorrow at 12 EST.

If you hate slow shipping be wary of importing from Yesasia. Been a number of days since I'd made an order with them and still 'waiting for stock', so I google'd the site up only to read that they can apparently take weeks just to ship, ouch!

Anyone here order the $50 memory card from AT&T? Apparently a lot of people have had their orders cancelled but mine still says processing. Just wondering if there's other people that say "processing" for theirs.

Yeah, FedEx tends to work out to be their cheapest express option, especially if your package is large and heavy. I used FedEx to ship the Project DIVA F arcade style controller last week.

I'm actually addicted too and is the only thing I've played for the last two weeks. Had no idea about Cilia being like that.

Me too, basically! I've been playing it obsessively since I bought it. I've cleared about 80% of the map. I want to finish all the quests before ringing the bells.

About Cilia:
Have you found her missing "friend" yet? It's heavily implied that she's an ex. Cilia asks what if she never finds somebody and Dora says don't worry, you'll find him. Cilia then says Him? lol

IDK guys...

If a game doesn't drastically pick up after the first hour, it gets benched indefinitely. I don't believe in the "oh, make it that 4,5,6th hour and it gets good"
