Is it lame that i had to watch a video walkthrough to actually finish dokuro's first boss stage 1 level 10?

But I am aiming for the orange and purple crystals so I get the bonuses and extra time. That's how I get such scores. Sometimes I get a lot of points when the orange and purple crystals show up pretty often, and sometimes I barely get 10M when I just can't get enough crystals for the bonuses.

So, the secret is: just hit the ? button and focus on the orange and purple crystals.

The more I play Motorstorm RC, the more I love/hate it. I love, well, everything except the AI and how a lot of things are handled. I was doing a dune buggy race and kept getting side swiped by the AI. I would go spinning out of control and go into a tail-spin, while the AI would just shove right through me. There's a load of examples of this not specific to one car. Thankfully, the game is really good overall.
Just do the stuff in the list you linked and you'll get the crowns.
Well, 'just' is probably the wrong word, most of them are hard as hell for me.

I had Lumines 1 and 2 on PSP, but probably will hold off on the vita version. I'd say if you never played it the $13 would be worth it.

Damn, Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow aren't on the PSN store!! WTF???? Those are two of the best PSP games.

I've never played any of the games outside of the short demo. They seem kind of neat in theory, but really I just like the box art <:T
FedEX tracking is telling me my copy of HSG is out for delivery right now. Couldn't pass it up at free ($10, free with my sony point thingies I've been racking since getting the Playstation credit card). The last HSG game I played was PS1 era if I'm remembering correctly. Any advice right off the bat? Motion controls/touchscreen bad? Turn off immediately if able?

Once you learn the structure of combos and start putting up some big numbers it's quite fun
I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think it does.
And those two would benefit most from dual sticks.

Once you reach platinum level the game lists the requirements. Until then, it's a mystery. Frankly, until you unlock some of the better characters, most of the crowns are difficult to obtain.

They're both on the EU store, but only Dark Mirror is listed as working on Vita.
And the Lumines series makes me sad. I feel like I want to buy it for the music aspect, but I just cannot stand playing puzzle games.

Just keep collecting stars, which will move you up the ranks, and you'll have it in no time. ATM, I'm two stars away from being able to face-off against the last unlockable character. Again, you probably won't have the pro golfers or gear to get many crowns now anyhow, so just forget about them until later in the game.

Man. HSG on Vita was my first HSG since the PS1 days too and I'm not even really into golf, but the game is a blast.
Yes it is, for $13, and the 3DS version of the game is sooo bad. So that is unfortunate.

The orphanage thing clearly WAS a highlight already, you just didn't notice because .... Of the game having a super low highlight bar. But yeah, the game is waaaaay to slow. I hope I manage to finish it eventually.

Trails in the Sky. PSP RPG with a very slow start, middle and end, which seems to be rather adored around here.

So then they go out today while I'm work and just buy it for $30?
I can understand him wanting a new game for 3DS, but I really should be involved in the decision process here.
Plus, it would have been way better to just download it on his vita and I wouldn't have to worry about him losing the game

Should I get escapeVektor or When Vikings Attack? I was also looking at Knytt Underground vs Big Sky Infinity but I'm pretty sure now that I'm going to get Knytt (liked the demo).

Learning the tracks helps a ton. Knowing if letting go of the gas is sufficient, or dare I say, actually using the break is necessary for beating some of the lap times.
I like to use outside-inside-outside for hairpins
Shipping from HK isn't expensive unless you order EMS or something. Or Fedex, but I haven't heard of people using Fedex unless what you're importing has lithium batteries.
You don't need to touch the screen or worry about the motion to platinum the game, and you don't need to touch the settings for that either.
Want a highly polished, simple MP game? WVA
Want a challenging puzzle game? EV
