Battlefield 4 Unveil - March 26 - San Francisco - [Wallpaper] - [Teaser Webpage]

:( I want WW2. That looks like a US city in one of the small pictures in the wallpaper. Could be fun to blow up i guess, middle east is getting so damn boring.

Edit: Ah Shanghai well thats kinda cool aswell.

This model must be pretty beneficial to EA, no? Compared to Activision:

Release Battlefield one year, support the game with $60 worth of content, no need to put resources towards single player or new features/engine upgrades.

Then repeat the following year.

I want WW2.

Maybe as a downloadable or expansion pack like bc2 vietnam.

WW2 doesn't offer these devs near the range of attachments of current weapons.

How else can they balance suppressor v flash suppressor v heavy barrel v bunny rabbit launcher? Tommy guns didn't have much.. drum clip.. uh.. not drum clip.

So will NK be stealing something from here to prop up their propaganda YT video showing the west in complete disarray after some tragic event, only to be later taken down courtesy of DMCA?

And didnt it happened almost exactly like my schedule ?

Not really no. You got the pricing wrong, you got the dates wrong, you forgot premium, and most importantly, you made it sound like it was a bad thing, when BF3 expansions have actually been great and premium was great value for money.

That's why I don't like it when people lump everyone in EA together, like they're the borg. Some people there actually know what they're doing.

I'm in for the multiplayer but I hope they improve the single player this time around. BF3's was really awful.

I'm looking forward to this, but i don't really see how they can make it significantly different to Battlefield 3. Obviously there will be new weapons, Vehicles and maps but i can't really think of anything massive that they could do with it other than perhaps more destroyable things.

I'm still a bit disappointed that Battlefield 3 is being replaced already, i would of prefered a new Bad Company or something like a BF2143.

I think there will be some kind of presistent element to it.

I hope they take it out back and shoot it.

Probably not going to happen, but it'd be great if they applied those resources toward better co-op or MP.

I swear the only reason BF3 had a single player was so they had something to show in the trailers.

I hope there is no dirt screen&lens flare shit this time.

Completely agree, is one of the main reasons I dislike BF3. Far too visually noisy.

Return of the commanders.
Return of giving squads and teams more detailed commands, which means more team communication.
Higher player counts on consoles.
CTF on ALL maps from day one right with Rush and Conquest.
=
significantly better than BF3.

Obviously there will be new weapons

In BF4 they're going to be scrapping the bottom of the "new gun" barrel to come up with something that isn't a rehash of what was in BF3.

Quick, everyone to the SHOT show!

+integrated VOIP for teams rather than just friends on Battlelog.
+lots of meaningful destruction on all maps rather than having it added as an afterthought.

More factions, female soldiers, 60fps on consoles, etc., there is plenty of new things BF4 could bring to the table.

Homefront had a better SP campaign.
MP? BF3 is king.

I'm still shocked anyone plays the single player portions of these games.

Also whoever was wishing for ww2... Really? The genre dished out endless ww2 games for a good 4 years strait. Let it rest.

Very much like the idea of it taking place in a modern city. I really don't want to do any more desert or Middle East shit for the billionth time. (Which has been done to death as much as ww2 has)

Eh, there are plenty of weapons that are in the running for use by armed forces. Arma 3 has some of them, too, from LWRC:

I don't think they'll have any trouble adding more weapons.

Totally pumped. BF3 is my favorite MP game. Hopefully we hear something about the PS4 version.

Anyone else hoping for better gun models in this one?

Pretty damn excited for this, even if it won't be a massive change. As someone who was only able to play BF3 on the Xbox 360, as others have already said, this is going to bring a long list if improvements for us console players (higher player count, better frame rate, etc.). My body is ready.
I hope there's no singleplayer campaign this time. Unless they decide to make SP a Bad Company game.
I never booted up the single player for BF3.

I sure hope so. I feel like they got a bit better in the DLC, but overall, they were pretty low detail. I wouldn't mind them including all of the BF3 weapons with more detailed models.

I think they'll stick with the same caliber-based firearms system, too.
