Battlefield 4 Unveil - March 26 - San Francisco - [Wallpaper] - [Teaser Webpage]

It was like this for Dice:

Bad Company 1 - Mid 2008
Mirror's Edge - Late 2008
Bad Company 2 - Early 2010
Medal of Honor Multi - Late 2010
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Enviroment Design - Late 2010
Battlefield 3 - Late 2011
Battlefield 3 Expansions - Late 2011 until Early 2013
Battlefield 4 - Late 2013.

Dice is a goddamn work horse.

probably EA's best resource for money.

EA's investment in DICE and FB2 development is going to pay off a ton next gen since they're pretty much using it for all of their games. They won't have to pay licensing fees any more and they have an internal engine support team to help with individual game customization and optimization.

Anyways, really hoping EA doesn't EA the shit out of this game. They struct a decent enough of a balance between turning BF3 into a platform for new content worth the Premium price, and being their typical scumbag selves with kit unlocks and the such.

They have well over 350 employes and multiple teams dedicated to various projects, DLC, Frostbite development, etc.

That artwork looks generic as hell. Barely any different to their last games :/, at least the last COD attempted to mix things up a bit by setting it in a new period.

Is there anyone here that can get a 1920x1080 (not this image upscaled) of this wallpaper? Surely, a DICE dev hangs around GAF. ;)

Need some dang BF4 .png logos and wallpapers.

Well it's a leaked piece of art, so for now that's as good as you're gonna get.

If it's going to be more "CoD-like" I wonder if they're going to specifically throw in game modes with matching map sizes to try and break into eSports with it this round. That's about the only thing CoD has that BF doesn't at this time.

There's a Microsoft Gaming Awareness event in the UK on the 26th too ... If the rumours of timed exclusivity are true and MS really have gotten into bed with EA, I wonder if we might see anything of it there?

Single Player will have better visuals, so no they won't. It will be some crappy SP stuff but at least it will be something

Caspian Border trailer was the best BF3 trailer they released, the one that got the best reception by fans, and even though it released much later and at a show with less coverage, it's only <2 million views behind on youtube vs the SP trailer. (9.6vs11). It's also the best looking one imo.

It was basically the trailer that got everyone saying, "finally, this is the Battlefield I want". They need to do the same for 4.

Given the alarming swift turnaround between the two games I really think they need to show something that's going to get Battlefield 3 players saying, 'yes, this really is a big deal'. Because right now I can't fathom why there's a need for Battlefield 4, given it's the same setting with the same engine on ostensibly the same hardware (next-gen versions should match PC).

If any die-hard's are interested, I made GAF-ready avatar:

Gotta start somewhere for that Avatar section in the OT. Blue Orange, Orange Blue, etc.

I feel like I'm the only person who liked the variety in maps that BF3 offered. Caspian, Firestorm, and Kharg are my favorite vanilla maps, but Seine and Metro are great too. Sometimes I just feel like more ground/infantry focus, and I am able to get that. Having every map be gigantic with all vehicles would eventually be tiring.

Oh yeah, that's a fan mockup allright.

I fucking hate Seine Crossing and Grand Bazaar. Either i get shot in the back or i shoot someone in the back.

I always have a terrible time when I play on Metro. :\

i don't know why people trash metro

it's a simple trench warfare simulator

better to have one map specifically designed for statpadders or else we'll see obnoxious shit like every Karkand server in BF2 being infantry only

Sounds so smart and obvious I wouldn't be surprised if they actually don't do that. EA is pretty great in fucking things up, just look at their legacy of fucked up studios and IPs.

Nirolak posted a thread a few weeks ago that said there are 8-11 Frostbite 2 games in development right now, I believe.

Im gonna guess that the reveal even is not open to the public.
I'll be in San Fran and i would looooove to be there. :3

was hoping for 2143... :/ i'm kind of done with the modern warfare setting not sure if want, hopefully the trailer blows my mind.

No you're not, but people who enjoy things tend not to post on forums about it as much as those who want an opportunity to complain. Almost every map in Vanilla BF3 offers something worthwhile.

They didn't even bother to change the colours of the game. Same orange/blue. Doesn't seem right and adds to the feeling that BF4 is too early.
