One month from today: BioShock Infinite

Wrong kind of magic.

All is forgiven because you used an Arrested Development gif.

Yeah, although, both arms of TakeTwo have a fairly consistent track record of shipping solid performing games. Bully 360 was messy, but that's really the only glaring issue from them this generation.

GTA IV could get a little hairy at times, but yeah I'd say it's been good for the most part.

I didn't have any problem with Bioshock's performance on 360.

Any of you coming to PAX East? I'll most likely be with the team during our panel, but if you'll be there, let me know and maybe I can work some magic. :)

Would have loved to go but can't.:( You guys should give us top posters in this thread a little something for being super supportive that would be cool, just a suggestion. :)

Out of curiosity but what could they give us?

Have you guys already run out of review copies? I requested one and was told as much. At least I received a pass for the press portal. Good enough to at least run an editorial on :D

What about those of us who preordered the season pass? :P

Has anyone been playing the Industrial revolution flash game? Its quite fun but I haven't seen any kind of repercussions for choosing one side over the other.

Played through it a long while back. It was enjoyable, but your choices don't really impact anything except for the web goodies (example: facebook cover photo). The story probably plays out the same regardless of your decisions.

Who did folks side with more in the end? The Vox for me.

I'm so glad the game has Steam achievements, I love earning the little buggers.

EDIT: I've been out all day, we are already 50% of the way towards XCOM?? Damn

EDIT2: And yet gross revenue is getting beaten by Far Cry 3 and KOA...hhhmmm not necessarily evidence but I'm still leaning towards the bar is completely rigged.

I am pretty sure that it is rigged in the sense that they can change the pre-purchase to bar requirement on the fly.

I think as soon as a game doesn't unlock all three tiers, this system ceases to work to make people invest.

Of course it's rigged. If you're interested in the other stuff as a value proposition, you'll do either one of three things. 1) - pre-order and try to get your friends to do the same, 2) - watch the bar every day, ignoring other potential pre-order deals, whilst getting your friends to do the same and then you'll finally pre-order when everything is finally "unlocked" or 3) - Even if you know it's rigged, you're still going to pre-order to get the goodies and feel smug about seeing through their ruse.

There's pretty much at least one post about the bar on every page of this thread. It really is quite genius.

I rarely get games Day One, but Infinite is one I want to dive into as soon as possible. Torn on whether or not to get it on PC or console though since my box is sitting between those minimum and recommended specs.

I wish I had almost 500 posts like Andrew. I wanna be him when I grow up.

EDIT: I'm not that young by the way!

I'm siding with the Vox but neither faction seems like the "right" choice to me, its all pretty grey.

I replayed Bioshock last week and im currently replaying 2 and say what you want about lack of Irrational but 2K Marin kinda nailed it when it comes to gameplay. It aged so much better.

Not a fan or luigis mansion I take it?

I'm okay with it coming out on Sunday, my wife seems pretty excited to play it.

Well I didn't put any attention to it since it seems like it's exactly the same as the first game, and the first game was far too shallow (though it was pretty when it came out). It's not something I'd be looking forward to even if I had a 3ds.

Man, you must've been very happy with their Kickstarter!

Actually I was somewhat disappointed when they revealed it. I don't want more generic fantasy RPGs with elves and dwarves and un-pronounceable region and character names. I have no doubt it'll be one of the best written games out there but I can't really get that excited for it yet.

Holy crap it's already at 46%. Valve could make this look less obvious.

Tomb Raider had all it's unlocks 3-4 days before the game released and this is following suit. I will say it is tweaked to favor unlocks but you also have to factor in the flood of reserves that come on when a free copy of XCom is practically guaranteed at this point.
