Any word on if God Eater 2 is releasing to the west?

we haven't heard anything but personally I doubt it will be. Despite being a heavy supporter of the vita at launch, Namco doesn't seem keen on releasing anything for the vita outside of japan anymore.

Hopefully they will have a change of heart regarding this. Still, they prob wont bother.

this saddens me :/
wonder what will get them to revisit that initial love for the platform though...

I would imagine it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of a 10 million unit install base in NA alone by the end of next year to be willing to just blindly bring it over.

There are some factors to think about though.

while they don't seem keen on publishing games for the vita, the simple fact is they really haven't had any games developed by them to release since the launch line up. (at least none I can easily find)

the original god eater took 13 months from the original release to come over not being confirmed to come over until 2 weeks after the game came out in japan.

There is also the simple fact that they might be waiting to see how the english version of soul sacrifice and how god eater 2 does in japan before deciding if they will bring it over or not. If soul sacrifice fails to get much in the way of sales they are likely to not bother with god eater 2, if it sells well though they are far more likely to do it, especially if god eater 2 can do good numbers on the vita (despite having a psp version) in japan... as if namco releases it in english there is little doubt it will be a vita only release. (this is what I would be doing, it would mean it would take longer to get an english version out as i couldn't start it until after seeing the sales, but it would be the safe way to handle things, and give NA/EU time to get an install base built up)

In general when it comes to namco I assume they hate me and any game I would want they won't release, past history has just leaned towards that lol. It's best to just wait for them to announce it's coming soon... and then sit back and wait the 12-20 months after they say it's coming soon for it to actually come out ><;

Vita on sale as part of the daily deal at yugster for $219. 3G with 8gb card.

http://www.yugster.com/todays-deals/daily-offer

(can't seem to find a direct URL to share, it's not like amazon where everything has a product page)

never heard of the site, either way it's pretty obvious sony are killing off the 3g model, which quite frankly I don't think should have ever been launched. It was a stupid idea before the launch of the system and it's still a stupid idea now... 3g just isn't good enough for the type of online gaming the vita lends itself to.

Now a 4g version might be ok, but if they make such a thing it should be a small run priced really high as a luxury item as it won't be that popular. Most people who would be excited about something like 4g already own a phone with 4g, are aren't very likely to add a second plan for the vita at the current prices for 4g. If they make a new model it should have at least 16gb of on board memory for games and hdmi out for playing on tv/recording reviews.

I think if I was in charge of things and the company really wanted to run two models I would run a model like that, and then the vita XL marketed towards use with the ps4. A model with an extra large screen, r2/l2 buttons, and clickable and proper sticks for R3/L3 so there aren't any compromises at all for off screen play. it would keep it from being very portable, but it would be a great companion to the ps4 if remote play works well, and could be something that someone who doesn't take their vita out of the house much could really want. To keep costs down you could use a screen that isn't oled and potentially sell it for $250 after the vita in general gets a price cut.

I'm obviously not in charge of things though, and most likely haven't a clue what I am talking about :P

Can someone tell me how the cloud saving works on the Vita? I have two mem cards, both with Wipeout 2048 on them, one has a level 27 char and almost half way through the online career, the other a level 19 char and no online play at all. The one with the most progress uploads a save almost daily when I play, but when I put in the other mem card I can´t see a way to recover the save so I can continue.

Do you have PS+, and are both cards active on the account that you use PS+ for?

Yes, PS+ (Otherwise I wouldn´t be able to upload them ;) ) and both cards are tied to the same account. I just need to know how to recover that save.

I know about turning on the Upload Save option in the System Settings, just thought the Live Area for the game would have a download option for recovering Cloud saves.

3G sounded nice when we lived in pre launch period and expected Vita will receive doznes of apps adding additional functionality like smartphones do.

In that case you should just be able to go into content manager, go to the Online > PS Vita option and download the 2048 save to the current card. I've never actually had to restore, so there might be more steps, but that's the concept.

Make sure the save you want is uploaded

content manager > online storage > PS Vita to cloud option. Then select wipeout and click upload.

Put in mem card where you want to download save file.

content manager > online storage > Cloud to PS vita option. Select wipeout and click ok.

Should be about right from what I remember.

If we get God Eater Burst 2, it will be a full priced digital only release. IF we ever get it.

Any ideas what this mystery Sega game could be? I want it to be a Valkyria Chronicles or Yakuza entry, but something's telling me it's probably Sonic or something (though a Sonic game wouldn't be Vita/PS3 only, hmmm).

people are thinking sonic, but the next sonic game is supposed to be on everything, it could possibly just be a new IP

So I presume you can't be gay in p4g right?

Cos that yosuke man.. He's a cutie

I don't believe any of the social links with the males end with implied sex, but you can social link a number of males :P

I haven't finished any of the social links on persona 4 quite yet so yeah.

No I don't think so.

A certain character comes across as it being a possibility but that pans out in a different direction than you might think.

That persons actions and how Yosuke reacts might make you change you opinion of him lol.

Damn and double damn.

Well still he is rather... Attractive looking in the least :

Really enjoying it so far

I purchased rocketbird and I'm having a blast, who would have tought a freaking chicken would be so awesome, it also looks gorgeous on the vita screen

Just keep in mind that when the bits I hint at happen that these are kids and its obvious that some people would react that way, especially at there age.

I remember there was some article on IGN or something complaining that the game is homophobic, when in reality, if you take it all in context. Its a pretty realistic portrayal or how kinds might react to certain things.

I like Yosuke simply because its him and Chie that give it the Scooby Doo vibe.

I think the most logicial guess is Phantasy Star Online 2, but my heart suggest Valkyria Chronicles collection.

Its a japanese website and therefore I would say a japanese announcement. Seeing as PSO2 is already out over there.... it wont be that.

I would love to be wrong and it somehow does turn out to be a western release announcement of the game but the facts dont lead that way.

Certainly not how I imnagined doing it, no wonder I couldn´t find it.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

Anyone playing Urban Trials here? The first level in the last mission section (the level is called "hardwired" or something), how do you get the money bag right in the begining? The floor falls down and it is seems impossible to get under there.

Not sure if you figured it out already but when you drop down onto the ramp, hit the brakes going as fast as possible without falling. The ramp isn't static and it'll shift with enough force.

Wait am I thinking of the right one. Let me load it up.

Edit: Yea I was thinking of the right one. Just keep trying and eventually you'll apply enough force for the left end of it to drop all the way to the ground.

My wife was looking at me like I am crazy when I was playing Totori but despite animu stuff that game is addictive. I love making stuff. So far worth the money for a neat change of pace and crazy IQ.

I think I will def have to pick this up at somepoint. It looks and sounds really interesting.

So any reason to get Powerstone Collection? I hear mixed opinions about it over here >_>;

I got it for a fiver, I like the game so far. I dig the artstyle, which is probably why. Wish I could play online against other people though.

EDIT: Singleplayer gets pretty difficult, reminds me of my childhood gaming days.

All these positive posts on Totori makes me really want to get the game. I don't know if I'll like the crafting-focused gameplay though.

I am not a crafting fan usually, but because it is the focus of the game I am able to get into it. The only thing I could see keeping people from this game is if you just can't stand anime type stuff, or you aren't content with a pretty down to earth story. The game starts with kind of a JRPG trope type story and from what I understand it stays on that story and is mostly about character interactions. I don't think your saving the world, just trying to solve a personal problem/mystery. Like I said, nice change of pace.

Finally some JP games will be rereleased on the "PS Vita The Best" version. Mostly launch titles, but I will grab Tales of Innocence R for the cheap. April 25.

The titles are:

- Gravity Daze (Sony)
- Ridge Racer (Namco)
- Touch my Katamari (Namco)
- Tales of Innoccence R (Namco)
- Ragnarok Odyssey (Gungho)
- Shin Kamaitachi no yoru (Chunsoft)

How do you do the parallax trick in RocketBirds? When u tilt the vita as shown i the trailer. I have not been able to figure it out! :(

HAHA I like this response.

I havnt played dark souls but is there anything that is really like it? From what I have heard it sounds pretty unique. I hear there are similarities with Monster hunter but its still not the same.
At it's core it's a fairly straightforward third person action game. It's the online interaction, tone and difficulty that set it apart from the others.

Soul Sacrifice is probably the closest we have but, it's still not that close.

I have no problem with the story and art, but I'm the type of person who never crafts in games unless it's absolutely necessary. $40 seems like a high price to pay for a gamble. :P
