Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

Pretty great rhythm game. I find the game very difficult on 6star songs+, but its really fun. Some of the music is questionable, but if you like asian pop/techno/trance/electronic then buy it.

I bought a physical copy :).

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Asian music. Are physical controls an option, or is it all touchscreen? Not a deal-breaker or anything (I browse forums on my phone almost as much as my PC), just curious.

really good if you like music games

I don't have much experience with rhythm games, but I'm always open to novelty.

Edit: fwiw, I do love Audiosurf.

DJ Max Technika impressions?
An excellent rhythm game with beautiful presentation, great soundtrack and a wide range of difficulty. Touchscreen only control, either front/back or just front. Big fan of the Portable PSP games and the Technika arcade cabinet the game is based on, and while gameplay can be a little cramped on Vita it's still one of my favorites for the system currently.

The Vita (train) is slowing being a Maglev :D
I like how this is turning out.

(and that means the wallet is gonna suffer)

EDIT: we need a Vita ambassador programmeeeeee

3DS had an ambassador program because Nintendo took an unprecedented $80 price cut three months after launch. Sony didn't do that.

PS1/PSP games

Wild Arms, Patchwork Heroes, I think Patapon 3, and something else.

And of course, before that, they gave away 6 PS Mobile titles.

Ah, right. I forgot the Mobile games. Which only good one was Qix.

And that wasn't even a good port of Qix. :/

The only game out of those PSM games I played was Samurai Beatdown.

Game is all kinds of awesome. The music for the last level, man...

I really believe that game has enough potential to become a fully realized Vita game.

VitaGAF I am still short on 10$ for 50$ offer.

Sine Mora $4.89
Sound Shapes DLC $1.99
Lumines $13.22
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite™ (768 MB Required $9.99
Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken $5.99

Total: $36.08
Need to buy something of $14.99
Recommend me some game. Been thinking of buying either MGS:Peace Walker HD or PSP version or even MGS1. But then I think why buy games that are on full price. Will wait for this weeks plus offers and then decide. So recommend me some cool psn games.

So they updated the referral site. They added an explanation:

"Reasons for an unsuccessful referral:
- Invalid PlayStation®Vita console number.
- PlayStation®Vita console displays connectivity prior to contest time-frame and is therefore deemed invalid for the contest."

Out of my 14 referrals they closed 2 as unsuccessful and 1 as successful. The other 11 remain "pending".

About time, but they don't seem to be done yet. I still have about 5 referrals between 1/31 and 2/28 that say "Success-Pending."

Do you have Dokuro or Escape Plan? They are good shouts, as is Persona 2: Innocent Sin. Toto's fave Gurumin is also an excellent choice as well. Based on the demo I played, it reminded me a lot of what a Brave Fencer Musashi for PSP would have like.

:/ i guess. but they too recognize that Vita had a rough first year.. would be nice to reward those who stuck with them.. -okay.. im sounding like a self-entitled gamer ><- haha but I guess that's what PS+ is for.

somehow I hope Sony does a Club Sony thing in the future.. buy gamees/consoles - get points to redeem for merchandise.. Kratos plushie anyoneee lol

Anybody else craving more sports games on the Vita?

I'm having an itch for basketball, and my only options are NBA 2K11-13 for the PSP. Not ideal, having watched gameplay videos.

Soccer's not my thing, so FIFA isn't for me, but baseball is nicely covered with MLB 13: The Show.

And I'm really hoping EA releases an NHL game on it, too.

Couldn't check out the exhibitor hall much at PAX today, but I noticed Guacamelee was there. Gonna stop by it and the Sony booth tomorrow~

My current buy list

Malicious Rebirth
Resitance burning skies [will come to plus m sure]
Hot shots golf [will come to plus m sure]

Warrior lair [if it comes]
Guacamelee
Machinarium

killzone
tearaway
soul sacrifice

And some indies games. Will decided as they come.

That's more than enough for me.

while a reward program would be nice, though their last attempt failed completely. I didn't update my address in time so I never got my shirt :/

Really what I would like to see is a reward pass added to games. a one time use code that would come in all new games on the system, that when activated gives you money back for the trophies you get. Lets say 1 cent for a bronze, 5 cents for a silver, 25 cents for a gold, and 1 dollar for a plat (just an example, I am not sure how many trophies games have usually The goal would be for a plat of a retail game to net you around $3 or in general for about a 5% return), that is just auto added to your account as it happens. It would give real meaning to trophies, reward the gamers that buy the most games, and in general would likely make a lot of people happy.

Lots of trophies are exploitable but I can see this happening with first party games.

with the ps4/psv they could work on closing up exploits. The main reason I was requiring the code though was so you couldn't exploit things such as make multiple accounts and plat the same game over and over. It's obviously something that would need testing, but I think it would make people play their sony system more, give people who own both systems to buy it on the sony one instead, and get people to do more impulse buying on the psn... I mean you just got done platting 2 games so you have $6 of "free" money on your account and a new game comes out that is $10 that you have minor interest in... a lot of people would impulse buy.

I need to start relooking my Steam list and add more VitaGAF :D

but incentives to play games.. sounds good :D

it released on the psn with the last update. As for if there will be a physical release, it seems unlikely, but to be fair at this time Koei still hasn't announced that they are releasing the game in english (period, they still haven't acknowledged that they released a digital version of the game lol)

lol, I noticed that, very odd indeed. I would imagine digital only since the console version didn't sell gangbusters that we know of

Decided to stop waffling and pick up DJ Max. Went to the store and error... Always. I think about it, then it's broken <:T

But it came back to life this time, so now I just have to wait on the 3GB download OTL

The console version didn't sell a ton, but it still sold plenty for NisA to not only release the console version physically each time but to offer a limited edition each time. I have no doubts if NisA was still handling the atelier series that we would have an option for a physical edition as well as had heard about it releasing on the PSN at least a week before it happened (at the very least it would have been part of the Drop)

Tell the bastards your going to tell the 11 to send there vitas back. Sony should come through if they promised too.
