I dunno, I thought once you got the hang of it, that one was pretty easy to get. It just takes some practice. And some water to cool your nerves.

Wakka and Kihmari's though? Evil. And I wasn't too fond of dodging 200 bolts for Lulu's either (Messed up on 197).

Practice wouldn't help much for Tidus', since really, most of it depended on luck. I know some folks achieved it very fast and some other folks never achieved it for months and even years. I've never been so angry with birds in my entire gaming history, hahaha.

Wakka was not hard, just tedious and took a long, long time (and Blitzball was actually kind of fun for me), and Lulu was easy as long as you concentrate like, real hard, hahaha.

Kimahri and Tidus though? Fuck those two real bad.

The random encounters encourage it anyway, and every character is useful. (Even Kimahri)

I would do this in subsequent playthroughs just because of Kimahri's battle. Man was I pissed off the first time I go to that point in the game. XD

The game is definitely looking good. It would always bug me that there were separate models, for battle, and cutscene. Looks like that gap is closed. Man can't wait to play this again.

I don't lol. Strange cause I enjoyed the game but other than the main story beats/twists the game is just one long corridor to me in terms of the world. Cannot even name a single town which is kinda weird..well I guess outside of Zanarkand.

The faces are the same to me in the new screens, just a different facial expression, we're not seeing different models in the new PS3 screenshots they have released.
It's just a single set of new models used everywhere.
About that other Yuna model shown during PSVita Heaven, that is supposed to be Vita footage and it wasn't really from the game but from some kind of tech demo...so who knows if there are graphical differences between the two versions....

It's the same face to me, it's just a different close up with a different facial expression.
Honestly it doesn't make any sense to use different models on the PS3 (and even the Vita), that was a compromise they had to use on PS2 but these consoles are both powerful enough to handle much better looking character models than what we're seeing here.
This is just a retouched PS2 game, let's be real.

I may be seeing it wrong, but Tidus's eyes in the group shot look like flat textures, not modeled into his face like in the close up shot.

You are wrong, there are two distinct models and they do not look the same under the comparisons afforded with Tidus and Yuna. Do you not remember FFX? Do the character models of Auron, Wakka, Lulu and everyone else not look clearly an enhancement over the low-poly models, while the large shot of Tidus looks clearly to be an enhancement over the high-poly one? Its the same scenario as the original game.

they would have to re-render them for that to happen. They should look cleaner and possibly stretched out, but not native 1080P at all.

Edit: It'll also be hilarious to see people that only played the NTSC version forget to pick up an ultimate weapon item that will be guarded by a Dark Aeon later.
