Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | March 2013 | Carving an Independent niche

Bought Capcom Classics Reloaded last night to have on my Vita. That collection is incredible for $5.

I'm left with a $4.50 balance. Is there any way to add $.50 to make it an even $5? Wouldn't mind grabbing Ultimate G&G before the sale ends.

Dont you hold the shoot button down for it to auto aim and then release to shoot?

Its been a while. I remember first person mode being really fiddly as well.
Ah thanks, I've just been pressing the shoot button and I keep missing and haven't tried holding. First person shooting is absolutely awful.

How come the vita does not have many jrpgs yet, p4 golden, and disgaie 3... and ys celceta

You can ask the same thing about FPS and TPS as well. It certainly has no problem getting Monster Hunter like games and Dynasty Warrior style games. I am glad it is getting many platformers though.

So I saw a gameplay video of Shining Ark today and thought it looked like it could be fun. Since its not out in NA won't be for a while, if ever, is there a Shining game that is recommended on Vita?

Eek, looks like DOA5+ won't even chart in this coming week's MC charts (Japan sales).

I guess that's all she wrote for future Team Ninja support...

Soul Sacrifice still chugging along, in happier news.

Kind of hard for us to recommend one since none of the PSP Shining games were released in English.

I'm not talking about Football Manager (I wish).

Apparently Sega has another football management series they publish only in Japan.

I seriously doubt it considering how big is the database in FM, Idoubt that they will create another game when they could perfectly use FM. Hell, the game is even in japanese

i'm pretty sure most (if not all) systems have an rpg drought in the initial years, at least in the west. the good thing is that we have plenty of awesome ps1/psp rpgs to play in the meantime (if you've already played the native vita games).

i can't wait for more to come, as i am definitely on an rpg kick right now. i'm playing through p3p and loving it. i had actually never played a shin megami tensei game until persona 4 golden. i feel like my interest in gaming has been totally renewed. i definitely want to check out the rest of the series.

SEGA does have a separate soccer management series for Japan:

(J-League Pro Soccer Club o Tsukurou! 7 Euro Plus)

This is in spite of the fact that SEGA already releases Football Manager on PSP.

Is this the same Shining Ark that was on Saturn?

Nope, Shining Ark is an unrelated game to Shining of the Holy Ark. The PSP title is developed by Media.Vision, formerly of Wild ARMs fame.

Well I didn't say who? I don't see how it's a spoiler at all tbh
You did in your previous post though. I only know that because I had 6 pages to catch up on :P.

I don't mind the minor stuff but I feel like Persona 4 discussion, particularly with spoilers in it, should be somewhere else. We shouldn't be spoiling the best game on the platform for people who may not have played it yet...

i believe the game developers specifically stated they wanted to leave it up to the player to decide upon his sexuality. i would definitely put him as bisexual, but there are points in the story where you could say either side of the spectrum. i think the key part that they wanted to convey was his struggle with his sexuality that caused him to act out.

so it's sounding like the MP for dragon's crown on the vita might be local only via adhoc (depends what press release you use the japanese release has a picture showing you can, the english one says you can only play via adhoc)... at the very least it doesn't have cross play with the ps3.

Vita version can play online with other Vita version, unless they change it for NA version...

I wouldn't think they would, but at the same time we aren't sure how region locking would work on the vita, and given they want to charge $80 for the vita version in japan, and the na release is close to the japanese release, and they region locked persona 4 arena over fears of importing... it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility.

Disgaea 3 will be free on NA PS+ tomorrow! I haven't played it in a while due to Project Diva f hogging up my game slot, but I'm excited to get back to it. I hope I remember what I was doing before I stopped playing...

Worms is one of those games I want to play, but just never felt right on my big TV. The Vita seems an ideal fit, as I can just pick it up and play as and when. Day 1

I have a quick question if anyone knows the answer regarding Sly Cooper and the £20 Pre order.

I have a vita but no PS3, if i was to buy the PS3 version off PSN (Which i see comes with the vita version free) will i still be able to redeem it on my Vita or will it be a case of needing to download it on a PS3 and activate it from there?

Thanks

they do?
you can't buy anything on the psn with out a card, and you can't start most of the games on the system without a card... in general on the vita without a memory card all you can do is watch the welcome video and watch the preinstalled bubbles bounce... and maybe play like 5 games, I really don't think signing into the psn without a memory card is really something they needed to do lol...

that being said it is nice the info is tied to your system instead of the card.

edit: top of the page recommendation watch this and get hyped for this fall lol

Yes. On the intial system startup/set-up without a memory card inserted it'll still ask you to make a PSN account or log-in to an existing one. Why would they ask for that if they couldn't save it in the system's memory without a memory card?
