Lol what the hell

Stallones highs are much higher but swartzenegger is much more consistent.

Van damme wins hands down thougg

Ahh... I'm pretty sure Arnold's low is really low as well, much lower than Stallones. It's Jingle All the Way/Kindergarden Cop vs Stop or My Mom Will Shoot/Oscar.

Stallone is a much more talented individual. He is a good writer, director, and actor (when he wants to be). Stallone has actually grown up with his movies and still going strong. I cannot say the same for Schwarzenegger.

Cmon, Stallone wrote Rocky. FUCKING ROCKY!

However, I still prefer Arnold. I just have more fun with his films and find myself rewatching them much more than Stallone's catalog.

Rocky and First Blood may not be sci-fi but they stand toe to toe with Arnold's best movies. Different types of movies, but definitely on the same level of quality.

rocky is above all the characters of arnold together, people still climb the fucking stairs every day

stallone is a director,writer,etc etc

i love arnold but stallone is a better actor by a mile

btw

anyone have see the last stand? arnold can barely walk

I'm guessing that we'll see Arnold getting in better shape now that he has more time to focus on his health.

fuck, it's like choosing between sons.

i give the edge to Dutch.

lol was gonna say something like that. For me it's like choosing between my left or right nut.

Having said that, Arnold is better cause Terminator 2 is the best movie out of both of their movies while Stallone has done more good movies and can act better. Arnold has better charisma though. Fuck it I love'em both. Can't possibly choose.

Do we agree that Sly and Ahnuld are top tier, and second tier is Van Damage and Norris?

Do we include Sagal in there?

I always put it like this

Tier 1: Sly, Arnold
Tier 2: Van Damme, Bruce Willis
Tier 3: Norris, Sagal, Jackie Chan
Tier 4: Everyone else

Die Hard is one of the best action movies ever made but for some reason i never saw Willis as a pure action star.

I'd drop Norris down to bottom tier, really. Willis should be above Van Damme...but only barely.

Rocky and First Blood are his best works. First Blood does not get enough love in my opinion. Everyone just seems to remember Rambo:First Blood Part II and the new one, but the original is a great and downer drama. That scene at the end where Rambo breaks down describing the horrors he saw in war is so damn good.

This one is not that bad actually.

I'd put Junior there instead.

For me Arnold will always be better. I quite like Stallone though.

Norris wasn't even in any Tier for me, dude. What exactly justified him being there right next to Seagal and Jackie Chan?

these guys are like that cool uncle u see sometimes, yeah he is old and its time has passed but you still love him

young people can laught whatever they want, but these two are titans of cinema,no modern actor can fill these shoes on the action slot

chuck norris now

Well Norris was aight in Missing in Action series.

What tier is Gary Daniels?

I..dont know i just thought people liked Norris for whatever reason? I put him there to avoid NorrisGaf (if such a thing even exists) getting mad at me =P

I honestly cannot think of a single good Norris movie, he seems more famous for his internet meme than anything else

The original Delta Force is alright..i guess.

Where do people rank Vin Diesel? Is he the most Arnold esque? Stoic figure, big, cannot act? Do not particularly care for him

Demolition Man is also a overlooked Sly classic, one of the few sci fi'ish movies Sly has done

EDIT: My father always said these guys were nobodies, when compared to the GOAT:

Only the first one. Norris was cool in the 80s though. At least from my memory. I need to go back and watch his catalog to see if it holds up as well as Stallone and Arnold's.

And for an awesome Stallone flick that had a pic in the OP, but many people don't know about, get Nighthawks:
1981-nighthawks-poster1.jpg

Stallone and Billy Dee Williams vs. Rutger Hauer. Such a badass, underrated slice of 80s awesome.
And the bad guy had one of the coolest names ever: Wulfgar.

yeah forgot about Delta Force. Kind of the straight to video type Rambo knockoff, I suppose. I honestly don't watch much Norris, he's D-tier to me :P

Diesel doesn't really do...how do you say...I'm not sure how to explain it, but XXX was dogshit (in a good way?) and he has done a lot of weird indie movies, which you didn't see from Schwarzenegger or Stallone. I dunno where Diesel fits in all this.

Both are awesome. It boggles my mind to this day why they never made an action movie with of them teaming up to blow shit and up and what not in 80s or 90s.

i have another question

bearded arnold o beared stallone?

I like Sly bearded better, he looks better with it

It feels like Arnold was perfected in Commando and Predator:

Like this is the perfect look for him, he was obviously more muscular in his early days but to me, this is Arnold in his prime.

Dont know what is Sly's perfect look? Rocky 3? 4?

Right now: Stallone.
In their prime: Arnold.
Overall: Arnold.

Arnold gets a lot of pluses for his comedy from me, and his sheer brute force aura.

Stallone has great dialogue and relates the philosophy of get knocked down but keep getting up really well.

stallone finest was rambo 3

also fist of the north star artist took stallone as a model for kenshiro (and the suit from mel gibson in mad max 2)

Probably First Blood Part II.

Plus that headband!

Oh yeah, great look for him. He also looked great in that opening scene to Rambo 3,
the knife fight

Does anyone have any box office data for US and international, all movies combined for both? Would be interesting to see, ill look if BoxOfficeMojo got anything

Stallone by far. Much better actor (in all aspects, as serious actor, as action star and even as comedy actor), writer and director. He also aged far better and can still kick ass in movies, while Arnold can barely move.

plus Rocky > any movie Arnold ever made

For a question with no right or wrong answer, I'm amazed at how many people are getting it wrong.

Stallone? Pffffffffft....

Schwarzenegger, obviously.

What's Stallone's best monologue vs Arnold's? An unfair comparison I know but I'm sticking by Stallone!
