Hideo Kojima @ GDC 2013: Talk focused on FOX Engine workflow for Ground Zeroes

This is good tech, hopefully it helps devs create detailed models REALLY quickly.
 
They're really full of themselves, aren't they? What's so special about any of this?

You have to be full of yourself and confident to promote your product? What else do you want them to say? Unreal engine does it better? They are speaking to developers not consumers.
 
I know, but they talk about the FOX engine as if they had discovered fire.

They're discussing their methods for fellow developers. I guess you have no interest for this.

That was one unrelentingly intense trailer. (Did anyone else see Ocelot?) I was floored. This game looks like a big step forward for the MGS series, and even cinematic games in general.

Also, looks like I'm going to have to play Peace Walker. (I think the other guy on the hospital bed was from Peace Walker, right?)

I'm glad that David Hayter isn't voicing Snake. This game sounds like it has more professional voice acting, as opposed to the usual campy anime dub voice acting.
 
Zero would only be 19 years older than in MGS3, so not sure if it could be him if hes supposed to be like over 100.
 
The focus on models of children definitively supports the theory that the 'taboo' Kojima was talking about is child solidiers

Now we know what took them so long to make a new MGS.

Very impressive stuff.
 
this stuff looks super complicated, my head hurt. I for one glad im not a game developer, but props to whoever is
