Metal Gear Solid V announced (PS360, open world)

I just want to play one more MG game with Solidus in it. Please make it happen.

Oh and Richard Doyle needs to be Big Boss period.
 
Perhaps the assault on Outer Haven by scarface/Zero didn't go so hot, and he was the third party injured in the hospital. Hence the raid.

I'm sure it's been mentioned but I think Diamond Dogs is in reference to blood diamonds and the horn signifies BB becoming a villain.

No clue who they're referring to with "the woman" and "him" though (assuming Ishmael is not imaginary I'd guess it's him as in Moby Dick you see everything through his eyes)

I assume 'the woman' is Paz, and 'him' is Chico

The "woman" is most likely the chick that got burned in the original TPP trailer.
 
Was the 9-year coma a joke considering it's been nearly nine years since Big Boss was the playable character on a Metal Gear game led on consoles? It's been nearly nine years since the release of MGS3. :P

My guess is it's Chico, and Chico is Ishmael. Don't they have the same eye color? He has been watching over BB since the coma and has grown up. He's the only one who could be buddies with Miller and BB at the end of PW I think. And they are lined up as if all three were picked up together.

Also, maybe the horn is imaginary. Only BB sees it:p

edit: Also Diamond Dogs meaning diamonds in Africa makes sense. Big Boss training child soldiers, young black kid, etc.

These past few years, Konami seems to slowly be "forgetting" about that entry though. Several of their recent books purporting to cover the entire saga skip it entirely.
Might be because it wasn't written by Kojima...

[speculah]Because the guy who wakes up with a missing arm (first person perspective) is the one who was brought to the hospital along with Big Boss and Miller (first person perspective). He's the one with the shrapnel, hallucinating all kind of things, including that "Ishmael" dude. And he's taking on the role of Big Boss.[/speculah]

I don't see exclusivity happening with a big budget third party game, although they may be waiting to announce the next-gen version until they can announce it for both Sony and MS platforms... If it can run on PC there's just no way they'll pass up on the money from a PS4 port

I'm not arguing if he looks at them as lesser products, considering Peace Walker was supposed to be MGS5. It's just in the console sphere (again, not counting ports), Big Boss has essentially been in a 'coma' for about 9 years as being playable since he was first playable in MGS3.
 
I just can't imagine this running this well on PS360. It'll get downgraded, no doubt. PS4 / Nextbox...sure, but not current gen.

I thought that but why can Miller see him?
Its right at the beginning, the doctors tell Miller BB is in a coma and he asks " and what about him" and its like he is looking at us (ie the camera)

Also Kojima said GZ was scalable to nextgen, anyone think kojima did what they've done with Beyond, hence the why it looks so good
QD said building it PS4 hardware and scaling to PS3 is what gives Beyond its good looks, which could also mean a nextgen version does exist

I know next to nothing about the Metal Gear universe, but I recognized that dude on the horse, and everything else that I didn't recognize looked fuck awesome.

I just bought the PS2 version of MGS3 for $1 the other day, so people I'll finally get into these games.
