What % of the WWE roster would you say are on roids?

Also why does it even matter if they take roids if its not a competitive sport? If actors can juice all they want than so should wrasslers. I don't understand this "wellness policy" that they have in place.

Blame Chris Benoit. Well that and so many Wrestlers dropping like flies. Obviously it's not just steriods, but the public is too stupid to realize it.

'Wrestlers dead, must have roid raged to death!"

An eye test isn't going to tell you who is juicing, because steroids aren't just to get swole. They're for muscle recovery, which wrasslers of all shapes and sizes may need due to the strenuous schedule.

BTW I never get to tell you this but I enjoy your posts

I really need to watch some NJPW, but I have no idea where to start.

A GREAT start is with their Wrestle Kingdom VII show, which is their Wrestlemania, back in January. I'm sure it's available in its entirety on Dailymotion, I highly recommend...almost every single match. There's not a stinker on there.

Addiction to painkillers have also been pretty strenuous on these wrestlers. So the amount of work they do or travel, it takes a toll. That's why when you hear CM Punk plans on taking some time off, it's probably a good thing. And takes away from them getting burnt out.

Some not as severe as it was ten years ago and before then; feels like there's fewer of those big bumps you see people take, and it's more safely constructed.

Dave Meltzer has many times said that the most popular guys like Rock, Taker, Cena and Hunter barely ever get tested and nobody would have the balls to go up to the Rock before Mania and ask him to pee in a cup or take a blood test.

Because even if he was found guilty of roiding, what would the WWE do? Cancel the main event? Piss him off? Piss away tons of money and piss off the fans?

WWE has never minded wrestlers roiding historically, they only had a problem with it once the media kicked in, then WWE was forced to act. There were 2 major instances when this happened:

early 90s steroid scandal
Benoit

In my opinion the wrestlers should absolutely be allowed to juice all they want, perhaps they need to have medical and psychological tests with their talent to make sure if one of them is off the rocker (Benoit) then hopefully they can get a guy like that some help before things escalate. But these guys are on the road all the time, house shows, PPVs, TV and media, plus driving across the US and flying off to god knows where. So its easy for me to say what they should do

I think the best course for wrestlers is to allow roiding but have a very competent medical staff to help prevent them overdoing it or doing it when their hearts are about to burst.

Can't disagree with any of this.

Hunter is becoming a technology addict!

Haha he looks like he is having fun

Steph looks pretty good and fit now, i remember her a year or 2 ago looking a bit...old? There were some unflattering photos but her she looks like her old self

I'm thinking he thought it was fucking stupid for the longest time, now he's fucking hooked.

Hunter 2001: "The internet is fucking killing the business man"

Hunter 2013: "The internet is awesome!11!! Rage comics!!"

Though those are not direct quotes from the man, but i do remember in the early 00's many wrestlers felt the internet was killing the business and exposing it too much. I know Vince Russo seemed to be in love with the internet wrestling fans back then, so much he actually booked a few horrible Nitros and Thunders just for us/them

Don't even tell him about gaf.

Remind me of Punk and his million lies - "I'll never have a Twitter. Twitter is the dumbest thing ever - the ultimate ego trip. I'll never have one, it's pathetic." ahhheeeeee

Steph hasn't really aged much since the Attitude Era. HHH looks a bit warn out and starting to show his age. Taker is looking old as fuck and Rock looks the same. Trish looks better

I'm all set to watch Evolve 19 and Kaiju Big Battel tomorrow.....not 100% sure if I'll be able to watch Evolve 19 live since I'm at work, but I'm thinking it will be a slow day and I should get to see most of it.

Is Gavin Loudspeaker still with Kaiju? It's been a little while since I have seen one of their shows.

I really need to watch some NJPW, but I have no idea where to start.

As others have said, the annual January 4th Wrestle Kingdom show in the Tokyo Dome is the perfect place to start as it's the biggest event of the year for New Japan.

NJPW, "Wrestle Kingdom 7 ~ Evolution in Tokyo Dome", 2013.01.04
Tokyo Dome
29,000 fans

01. Jushin 'Thunder' Liger, Tiger Mask & Hiromu Takahashi vs Ryusuke Taguchi, KUSHIDA & BUSHI
02. Masato Tanaka (c) vs Shelton Benjamin - NEVER Openweight Title Match
03. Killer Elite Squad (Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr) (c) vs Sword & Guns (Hirooki Goto & Karl Anderson) - IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match
04. Yuji Nagata vs Minoru Suzuki
05. Prince Devitt (c) vs Low Ki vs Kota Ibushi - IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title Match
06. TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) vs Keiji Mutoh & Shinjiro Otani
07. Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs Kazushi Sakuraba - IWGP Intercontinental Title Match
08. Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs Kazuchika Okada - IWGP Heavyweight Title Match

All the IWGP Title matches are well worth watching, ESPECIALLY the Intercontinental Title match between Nakamura & Sakuraba, which is a definite early contender for match of the year. The main event's fantastic, too. Also, veterans Yuji Nagata & Minoru Suzuki add another excellent singles confrontation to their long-standing rivalry, while four more veterans face off in a tag match as TenKoji take on Otani & the legendary Keiji Mutoh. The Jr. Heavyweight Title match is a ton of fun too, just a crazy sprint and a really well executed 3-way match.

Also, New Japan is live on iPPV this Sunday with 'Invasion Attack', which promises to be another great show; http://www.ustream.tv/njpw

EVOLVE & ROH for me, looking forward to the title tournament - I'm predicting a Chuck Taylor vs Jon Davis final.
