Fighting Games Weekly | April 1-7 | And after 0-3, he has risen

Holy shit, I had no idea that there was a Canadian tournament on this weekend, fuck. Also guess I'm not watching it because paid archives, stay free. I did see a couple posts in passing that ChrisG got triple peed on, what on earth happened there?

I find FPS' to be more physically demanding than mentally. Once you wrap your head around level design you get a fair bit of breathing room when it comes to judgments as your moving around and then most of the work comes into steadying that reticule for who or wherever you want to shoot. Twitch shooters just have slightly less breathing room. Eventually you get used to scenarios and it comes down to whether you can actually do what you need to do in time more than considering a diverse set of options because of how fast you can die.

Chris G isn't at this Canada tournament. You probably read something about Final Round last weekend where he lost to Angelic 3-0 first round (not triple perfected). Not that it mattered though since he went on to win the tournament anyways in dominating fashion.

Nah he got tripled perfected by Glitch last night at the Next Level tournament in AE.
 
Damn subscribing to access archives is stupid, wanted to see the street fighters matches I missed on the canada cup stream.
 
I don't know why they are still going with the 8.95$ bullshit, why not 4.00$? More people will pay, with 9$ no one is going to pay.
 
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. Since it was three perfects I thought it was Marvel at that Canadian thing, makes a bit more sense now but still crazy.

Personally I see more out of Savior in it than JoJo's, if only for the healthbar system Injustice used.

Remember when Spooky streamed the pirate version of SSF4 like a week early and Capcom was pissed, but all they could really do was stay pissed? Man, times have changed.

The clash duels work differently enough that I personally didn't even think to compare it to JoJo's until now. One is just repeatedly attacking and the other just costs meter. They rarely even happen in JoJo's to begin with. As for the three attack buttons and ability button, the same can be said about BlazBlue even.

Blazblu borrowed it from Jojo's, too. ASW borrows a lot from Jojo's. Look at P4A. Hell, Persona took ideas from the Jojo's comic to begin with. Even Street Fighter characters are based off Jojo's.

It's the best.

I don't think that anybody has a problem with how the combos look, it's the janky movement. Combos in Injustice are just a series of canned animations, so of course they look good. Compare how awesome a Solomon Grundy combo looks with how shitty Wonder Woman's air dash is.

Surprise! The only reason I dislike SFxT is because I hate the Tekken characters. I don't care about anything else, those characters being dumb are enough for me to not care about it.
