I did this for quick visual reference of who's out, and who's still in:
I'm pleased that all my picks are sill in the running (Eliza, Isaac, Aeon, Panzerfaust).

I'm genuinely surprised at both Molly and Stanley surviving the first round.
Shame Mrs Victoria didn't, but on the bright side, that just means I don't have to sacrifice anyone this round

I say that I don't understand the Eliza hype, at all. Everyone else I get, but not Eliza.

Don't get me wrong she's the type of character I would use so I have no issues with her winning in that sense. I just don't think she's good for a game.
And somehow I doubt she WONT rollback the game timer, so imagine how long matches will be. Actually it's even worse if she doesn't roll back the timer lol.
I'm sure there will be a softcap for how far back she can roll like ten seconds though.

Panzerfaust. Brain Drain isn't making it to the next round. Beowulf doesn't have a tank on his fist.
Wulfamania chairs people to death..and wears a literal fur suit.
She has by far the best design imo and her play style sounds cool.
I don't really plan on playing this that seriously so design matters most to me.

I would probably only change the inside color of the cape, if anything.

Well all of my choices made it through, but they were fairly popular to begin with. A shame that Beatrix was dropped though.

There is a disclaimer on the character for a reason I believe. Look at it this way, even if the rewind cap is ten seconds. Are you prepared to redo your combos on the fly after you finish one? She's save state based.
Do you want to fight a character that can combo you, build meter. Take a hit, wait it out til its back to the point her combo finished, burst, then rewind time, repeat til victory?
LOL Mike really needs to clear up how the character is going to work.

Is this true? I'd prefer the god-like power characters to still be balanced. I'll drop Venus if they don't plan to balance those character types.
Well, they only ever talked directly about Aeon being broken, but Mike did say that he'd rather people not vote for the boss characters so that might also include Venus.

Oh she'll DEFINITELY be annoying no matter how they make her work, like you say the disclaimer is there for a reason. Just saying they'll definitely (be forced to at least) find a way to not make it game breaking.

That would probably only be Level 3 and 5 stuff anyway. Her specials likely wouldn't be too hard to balance.
I don't think Mike has ever said that Venus would be hard to balance, and I can't remember anything in her playstyle that suggests she would be.

If it really goes off a save state type feature, it being level 5 doesnt mean much. That's pretty much why Im curious about the character's details being a bit more fleshed out. The cliff notes version of her sounds horrible.

Yea, it'd be nice to actually see her in action, I definitely agree with that.
She's not getting in though so it doesn't matter.

Booo for Roxie disappearing. Black women get no respect in fighting games, even when left to fan votes! :/ At least we have an Egyptian woman left, that's visually fairly similiar!
Great to see Molly and Stanley still with us, however. And Scythana making it is pretty cool, too.
Her colors were interesting to me, but I think the designs of her leg area were horribly bland looking, the extra knives did nothing, and the plastic / tights / leather cover leggings look really weird. Even the image of her from game art only shows knives stuck in her arms; that was enough.
However, not voting for her due to any of this, if one liked her mechanics, is silly; it's not like she wouldn't have some really sweet color palettes to choose from, if she was selected.

As much as the fighting community claims to HATE "little girls" in their fighters, it's funny how the oldest women got cut (Roxie, Regina, Victoria), yet all the young as can be girls are still going strong, lol.

And Eliza! I wonder if Daliah even counts in this particular discussion: anything with a Grenade launcher on it's arm could probably win this first round, haha. But it is good she's still here, too.

Still interesting, though. It's like, for all the complaints, whining, "if I was in charge, I'd..." statements, and "_____ doesn't understand what we want!" comments you see posted along the internet, trends within a mass of a fanbase generally tend to follow what big companies produce, anyway. It is always my hope that, when given a choice, a community ends up picking something more unique than what a corporation would have offered them anyway, y'know?
As interested as I am in seeing these characters in the game, I'm also quite interested in seeing where the communities overall taste and preferences rest.
