Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

Well, since all 4 characters I voted in round 1 made it, gotta cut one out. See you later Minette.

I will be pretty surprised if Stanley makes it to Round 3 though.
 
There's a thing I've been wondering about Beowulf.

He's all like this wrestling dude with a chair, right? But he's wearing slippers. Or, like, loafers. Or some kind of fancy-pants shoes.

It looks like he was chilling in his study in a smoking jacket with a snifter of brandy or somethin', checking his stocks as the hoity toity are wont to do, but when he got dressed up in his dead wolf and folding chair ensemble he forgot to put on sensible footwear. Like, I dunno, boots. Or galoshes. Or sandals, if he's going for some weird Romulus and Remus Roman Legionary look what with the lupine imagery and all.

It's like he's all business and then I see his feet and suddenly I just can't take him seriously anymore.

Issac was left aside for a bit, because I want to be able to say I supported Minette at some point! Figured this could be a last chance.

Glad to see Molly gets to jump onto her Graham-O-Tron for this round :)

Ugh, I think I'll just vote Stanley-Beowulf-Eliza. Isaac seems to have enough support already.

It's all well and good to say that we should be comfortable until you realize that, hey, we're kind trying to have a functioning society here.

If we start permitting casual shoes to be worn in public, where do we draw the line? Are we suddenly okay with sweat pants? Fanny packs? Wearing a band's t-shirt to the band's concerts? Is that where this is going? Is that the sort of thing we're just going to suddenly be okay with?

No. Those things, like wearing loafers in public, are not okay. They will never be okay. There is no excuse for them. We have to make a stand against the sort of lassitude towards apparel that this sentiment embodies. If we let Beowulf into the lineup while he looks from the ankle down like he's headed to an Elk's Club meeting we'll be contributing to the systemic fashion malaise that is rotting our society from within to the point that the entire edifice is on the brink of utter collapse.

I'll have no part of it. It's bad enough that he made it into the top 16. It's high time we all banded together and put an end to this madness. It's time for us to use this round of voting to say, loud and clear, "No way, Beowulf. Get out of here, and don't come back until you've changed your fucking shoes."
 
The character sorter wasn't updated, but it's still usable if you always vote against the characters that have been eliminated.

I had to let Roxie go, I'm giving Venus and Aeon lower priority since they're clearly meant to be bosses in a later game, when in doubt I let Umbrella and Marie "live" due to claimed plot relevance, but I think Black Dahlia has more of an untold story to tell. Eliza is nice, but she still feels like she'd fit best in a broader scope sequel with both Venus an Aeon in it. Annie would be the only acceptable pick of Team Little Girls, the rest I'm nearly indifferent about:

For the undecided, there's this Tumblr that's gathered some info on the possible DLC characters - some of it may contain spoilers, but it gives more story insight than the official page, check at your own risk.

They said they would probably release the information after the two characters have been decided.

I'm disappointed in how they don't give the complete picture for Eliza. They only explain her unique blood ability, but don't talk about her Scythe attacks, her possible Microphone/Diva based attacks, and her two Strong/Fast attack modes which include Sekhmet.

They have mentioned the two fighting modes in the official character page.

I voted for Scythana, Molly and Eliza. I'm expecting Beowolf and Isaac will make top 8 so I'm throwing my votes on 2 characters who are unlikely to make it but I'm interested in all the same.

I don't know, I'm kinda worried Isaac won't make it to the next round. Beowulf seems guaranteed, though.
