Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

Hoom Hom Hmm. Where to send that last vote.

Beowulf:

Points for - Kanji Tatsumi inspired. Someone compared him to the Macho Man (good god, add a Macho Man esque voice and I'll vote for him three times).

Poiints against - rather meh visual design.



Eliza:

Points for: interesting mechanics

Points against: more overt fan service designs (nothing against, just there's already enough in the game).



Black Dahlia:

Points for: grenade launcher, interesting design & concept, ties in well with the existing setting.

Points against: Plays like Chris? Will never play her.



Have to say I'm leaning Beowulf, but not sure. Why does everyone love Aeon so much?

Eh, people on the other side have hinted pretty hard that going by round 1 it's basically impossible for Annie to lose this.

Still voting for her so her victory is a landslide and the devs get the message that we need more mahou shoujo characters.

I'm a big time-travel guy, I like the entire Jojo series and their villains for example.

In Jump Ultimate Stars I picked a Jotaro/Dio team. and I like Viewtiful Joe SLOW and MACH SPEED. Bullet time, slowed time, rewound time, are all favorites of mine.

Time manipulation taken to the next level is just too good of an opportunity for someone like me to pass up. Isaac is interesting, but kind of basic and it feels like his time travel is just an extension of an attack that offers more weaknesses than strengths.

And of course, Aeon looks cool. I really like the sand hourglass torso, that's such a unique and awesome idea for the "hourglass figure", heh.

And I mained Amaterasu when I played Marvel...
 
I want one of the time characters to get in but I'm going with Isaac since there's already a nun that does weird shit in the game with Double. Plus he's Professor Badass
 
Thought long and hard about who to vote for, and ended up changing up a character:

Sorry Panzerfaust, you're cool and all, but like Tager you'd just stay sad and unused on my team...

Not at all shocked at 1st round results... all my faves are still in :)

I'm willing to bet big money that the winner will be Umbrella, Feng, or Marie
 
So comparing Gaf's 100 public votes with the actual results only Marie wouldn't have gotten in. Also Umbrella would've battled with Beatrix, Ms. Victoria and Roxie for the last spot.

I wonder who should be my 3rd this time, probably Beowulf. He will stay with Stanley if they make it because I'm probably dropping B. Dahlia next round.
Panzerfaust is still one of my favorites but we need a normal guy first (no thanks to Big Band).

Edit: Ravi, any chance that the update will have team presets (if they aren't in already and I apologize for not knowing) like those in Marvel 3?

Aeon, son. She can summon attacks of characters that have been eliminated from the ballot. Past, present, future, who wouldn't want that kind of control?

Man, Minette has the most interesting mechanic I think I've ever heard of for a fighting game. Building up confidence and serving people. Seriously, the taunts write themselves!

It was tough narrowing it down, but I ended up voting Beowulf, Scythana and Annie this round. Sorry Molly/Panzerfaust/Isaac. There being too many characters I like is a good problem to have, though, since there's better odds of one of 'em making it through.

That's why I'm against the idea of "oh, that character is popular enough I don't have to give him a vote", enough people think like that and characters like Panzerfaust will lose.

Yeah. Batten down the hatches, people. Unlike the first round, when there was plenty of dead wood to cut, several favorites are going down this time.
 
I don't think the next top 8 will be too big of a surprise. But I think after that is just going to be real nasty.

Another character I didn't expect support for was Brain Drain. He does look like Magneto + Q though. Heh

This could very well happen with Minette as well, given how many posts expressed a similar sentiment in her case.

Here's how I see it:

Locks: Umbrella, Marie, Eliza, Minette

Good bets: Isaac, Beowulf

On the bubble: Molly, Aeon, Panzerfaust, Annie, Feng, Venus

Endangered: Brain Drain, Scythana, Black Dahlia

Already Dead: Stanley


I really do think the top six above are getting in. That leaves two places for the rest.
