I kind of agree with the anti-beowulf mind of the previous posts. The fact that characters people are pushing the most here can be found in other pop culture entertainments is kind of depressing.
I trust the labzero team to be able to do something great for each character, even the loli/dudebro ones as they managed to do marvelous things with cliché characters like Valentine or Ms. Fortune...
But seriously, Scythana for exemple is far more interesting. Because her physical attitude is nowhere to be seen in other games, because her mechanics are new for a fighting game. A character like Stanley is interesting too, because he'll mix boxing movement with a shark attitude and the mix cannot be found in other games.
But Annie, Minette, Beowulf ? They'll move like a little girl and you can find a lot of them in all the fighting games you want. And a fighting game is about that, it's about a body, his way of moving, to imagine how he would be if he existed. The moe/cute/dudebro attitude will not be surprising, and even with the LabZero touch, you'll still have the feeling these characters could be from another game, they will just be better made than in those other games.
That's why, even if I enjoy the voting, I think it's a bad decision to let fans decide. Instead of asking for something new and unseen, they'll always try to rely of another version of something they already have/can find in other media. Just look at how Street Fighter IV turned out : only 6 new characters (in 4 versions) because everyone was "I want Yun/Cody/Poison" instead of asking for something new.
