You don't need to live in tropical areas to get the goods. Asian supermarkets have everything. Asian pears and Persimmon are staples for me. And Rita's mango gelatos are the best.

I have two of those asian/desi specialty stores near me. They get their mangoes from California or Florida or something. Not the same taste I remember. :/

And Rita's gelati's and mango misto are the bomb. Haagen Dazs has good mango ice cream too. But again, nothing like the taste you'll get with certain other less conspicuous brands.

Mango's from India/Pakistan in the summer.... BEST MANGO's IN THE WORLD bar none.

Mango anything is superior. Mango ice cream, mango juice, mango milkshake. Unfortunately, a lot of you probably never lived in tropical areas and will never taste real mangoes.

I was just drinking this yesterday.

Mangos, Maracujas, Spondias, Guavas, Oranges, Sugar cane. I've got the blessing (and several years of gardening) to have all those, and trust me, that's light years away from box juices quality and taste wise.

Too bad Internet is crappy here, but we can't have it all...
