Speaking of feeling like a terrible gamer, as a self professed JRPG fan, Resonance of Fate makes me feel even more guilty than abandoning Demon's Souls due to boredom.

I never got the hang of the battle system at all. Went to the tutorial arena at the beginning, and after messing around for an hour I got nowhere. Something to do with scratch damage and normal damage. I ended up just running in circles achieving nothing. I then sold the game in shame...

No JRPG lover who abandons a JRPG so quickly deserves a Kos-Mos avatar!

I have no doubt RoF is worth a full purchase. But I'm broke right now, especially with me saving up money to possibly live in Japan after this summer.

The real reason is my backlog is so bloody huge because of PS+, I simply cannot justify buying another game when I have two games, Demon Souls and Vanquish, on my HD...Then there's my PC backlog, stop staring at me, Metro!!!!
Both sound like good reasons to me!

boo, hiss, time to revoke your jrpg gamer card, shahed :P

The tutorial is pretty bad in RoF, but once you've got the hang of that system it's pretty much easy mode.

I'd love to see it become a IGC game, but it's unlikely I think. I'm still holding out hope that the EU gets the Vita version of Disgaea 3, like the US did. I'm not sure what other JRPGs, or even WRPGs, would be good fits for the IGC.

I never really got Resonance of Fate either. I tried it years ago as well. It seemed interesting enough and maybe I'll pick it up but I'd probably have to start over.

Obviously to each their own, but I just find it completely incomprehensible that someone can find Demon's Souls boring. My wife got it for me for Christmas the year it came out, and I felt like a little kid again playing it all morning and having an absolute blast, just about dreading when we had to leave the house and visit family.

Then again, loads of people find games like GTA and other sandbox games to be fun, so I realize it's just a difference of opinion. I'm sure plenty of people fell in love with Demon's Souls since it came onto PS+, just as plenty didn't care for it. It's certainly interesting to hear all these new outlooks.

...Sorry :(

I've been wanting to give it another go, if only to get that stigma off my back. But between my ridiculous backlog I think the only way I'd ever play it is if did appear on PS+ in the future. And to add to that I've always though they should try to look at some RPG's on IGC. They don't necessarily have to be all PS3 games. They could delve a bit more into the PSP library

It is a shame, but inspite how charming and fresh RoF is, it is a very repetitive game, surely not for everyone. Battle system is great though, you should have tried harder!

But to add to what i was saying earlier, the reason we probably don't see a lot of RPG's on IGC is quite a few lack DLC potential. If they ever got a digital version runnig, XIII-2 would be a good candidate, and I wouldn't be too surprised to see the likes of Tales of Graces F at some point.

So to ask again, Guacamelee or PS+? I wish you could buy one month installments of Plus.

It's tough because Guaca is a great game but with PS+ you get tons of great games. If it's just an extension you're looking at though, i'd go for Guac.

I picked Splinter Cell Chaos theory HD por 4.99€ , I'm having a blast with the game but...it's WAY too dark, i've played all the first level with night-vision glasses :S

Yeah, I had one in my copy of Journey, but they require CC info I'm fairly sure, and I'm not down for that.

CC info isn't a huge deal, you can enter the information and as soon as your trial starts you can delete the info. If you're still on the fence it's probably a good decision to delete the CC info as soon as you can since after the trial runs out, it'll attempt to renew/buy you a subscription. With the credit card information already deleted you'll be in no danger.

Or just cancel the auto-renewal :P

You can also turn off auto renewal.

...that works too....I guess....jerk.

I actually remove my CC info after every purchase. I am a sucker for impulse buys and the process of entering the information is long enough that it lets me convince myself to not buy it.

Edit: Also since Izick said that he/she wasn't down for entering CC info I wasn't sure if it was because of security reasons or something else. If there are people still out there worried about CC info being compromised, the idea that you don't need the CC info stored to take advantage of PSN could be appealing.

They don't store it anywhere on the database after entered?

Well, I can't say whether or not they keep records of some sort on the Sony side of things or the legality around that but if you delete your CC data there is no way to get that information back unless you re-enter it yourself.

I'm just a little gun-shy after all the recent hacks of stuff, not to mention the big PSN hack a while back.

They really need to add the ability to initiate downloads to the console from the web store. Hopefully the PS4 will do it if the PS3 can't.

What is a good place for someone from US to buy UK one year Playstation Plus code?

I have PayPal, don't think I can buy it off Amazon since my account is US.

lol Demons Souls bored and annoyed me to death. This die and do everything again style just isnt for me. I rented it some time ago, and now I wont even bother downloading it because I know I wont play it. :(

Yes its a game best played at night time. I read online if you have a 1080p tv and you disable the 720p/1080i options on your PS3. Chaos Theory renders natively at 1080p and still runs fairly well.

Been really appreciating it full res.

Same here, I rolled over every enemy until I got to the first boss and got rolled by him instead. Something about those gems and the turn taking and the tri-attack and the idk...

Still no news on the promotional $10? I want to buy that Fatal Frame already.
I'd expect it sometime tonight around midnight PDT. The random $10 voucher they've been sending to people have been around that time so I imagine their system is designed to spit out messages at midnight.

Even if you work out the battle system, it just means you get to do it over and over again about 5000 times more with no challenge or ultimately no story payoff to show for it.

Lots of great ideas, that is about it.
