Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

Just said this in IRC, but...

Places 2-5 were practically tied in this round. All fell within 50 votes of each other.

A lot of the vote thus far has gone this way, so you shouldn't give up on your favorite characters just because they were eliminated early, etc.
Isaac is the only clear #1 confirmed!
Isaac to take this!

Stanley was the #1 wasn't he...

This is terrible.

In a place with time shifter, godesses, and Science and Tech craziness going on everywhere, attacking with the power of reading rainbow isn't all that impressive! ;)
Your failure to understand the might of the cosmos themselves will be noted when Annie emerges victorious.

You can't get much flashier and impressive than the stars.

Sounds crazy close!

I guess all #TeamScience&Tech members need to make sure they vote STANLEY, eh?

No Mecha, no gun turrents and flying engines, No Mechanical Micheal Jackson... SCIENCE SHARK IS THE ONLY ONE, NOW! (Part of me wants to count Steampunky Issac, but don't know enough beyond the time gimmick...)

Pretty much this. I like Sol or Gattsu but reducing the archetype to a little girl that sparkles just turns me off.

It's like "Loli-fy'n" Golgo 13 and Kenshiro! (O.O!)

If Annie is still in the round, don't vote Eliza. :3

Sorry.

No hard feelings. :P Although Annie has the interesting Sol Badguy style, Eliza will offer a more complex game in Skullgirls.

Scythes, different attack modes, blood-based special, diva-based attacks.

If it's between her and Eliza: If you want the Sol Badguy you know who to vote for, if you want to add depth to the game vote Eliza.

I feel a bit happier now about Feng. Actually, would it be OK for you to divulge exact totals on the "practically tied" trio? You can omit names if you'd like.

Minette needs all the votes she can get already. I wouldn't risk 'tactically voting'.

The point is we don't want her in the top 4; she may take votes away from Annie. The idea is that the top 4 should be Annie, Issac, Beowulf and Stanley so that Annie gets all the Minette votes and keeps her own votes while the male character fanbase is split and loses steam.

Remember that voting for Annie is voting for the fangirl team theme. There is no way that Parasoul and Peacock won't get Annie colored palettes if she makes it onto the roster. Those two are insane about Annie's Anti-Skullgirl show.
People piling on Annie in here are making me shake my head hard.

Is it so hard to understand the appeal? Boiling it down to lolis and waifus is pretty reductive, in my opinion, and glosses over what makes her so interesting. I've said as much before, but being that it's a bit egocentric to just quote myself and call it a day, the appeal is in the contradiction in her appearance and her conduct and style of combat. It's an old war hero in magical girl's clothing. Imagine a Pretty Cure henshin delivered with all the ferocity and cool efficiency of Guts. Not to mention that her powers are fueled by the forces of the universe. Her bunny is called Sagan, if the angle wasn't obvious.

If you can't see how the galaxy doesn't give her a massive toybox of possibilities, I'm not sure what to say. She could eliminate the space between her sword and her opponent with a spatial tear, like The Hand from JJBA. She could call down meteor storms. I'm probably thinking too small, really. The fact remains, though, that no one else has potential for visual spectacle like her. And no one else has a sword - one that she's sure to use to a great deal of effect, and would make her the only candidate out of the potential roster to have one.

As I've said before, Annie appeals in the three great pillars - gameplay, appearance, and story.

I can assure you there are quite a few pro-Annie supporters who don't want a 'little girl'. They want Annie period. A vote for Annie isn't a vote for #TeamLoli (even though I'm sure #TeamLoli has her back on principle). It's a vote for #TeamAnnie. It's a vote for this.
God bless this poster.
Now you know it's time to vote for Eliza, y'all

So you're saying it's impossible to gauge?

Also WHY I did not know of this yesterday!?

Stream archive about the lobbies!

Also my humble opinion in the case of Isaac while I think the character is awesome I really think he will be execution heavy :S and I´m still learning the game xD
Thanks for the link. I'll check it out later.
But the true is that Annie killed Feng :( So, don't vote her!
I'm sorry, but everyone killed Feng together. It's never just one character, especially one who has been heavily expected to make top 8, top 4 and even the number one slot.

But I've never been afraid of Rainbow Bright... especially not a mildly emo-lookin' one!

... Trying to think about it, the only Galaxy-powered charact in fighters that comes to mind is Darkstalkers Pyron / Phobos. I did love his Starlight-explosion-style super.

I know, I'm trying to get Minette in so Beowulf will win.

Will we get detailed statistics after the voting is over?

Hah. Alright cool. ^^

That's actually why i'm interested in Squigly, since she's a stance character. It definitely adds a lot to the game.

But I do like Eliza as a character, she's pretty awesome, and definitely adds to the variety in the roster with her being Egyptian.

Let's be honest, a loli Kenshiro would probably have no trouble dominating the votes.

EDIT: Am I the only one voting Annie and Isaac because I like and want them both? :(

I'd hate loli Ken in principal, but... Toddler-level Hyakuretsu-Ken would possibly the best move ever in fighters. Sooo...

I voted for Issac in Round 1! But I really wish I knew more about his moves, haha. Give me those Sieger moves, and there'd be no way I'd resist voting for him and Stanley together, ha.

I feel like Stanley is probably dominating the people who aren't that invested in fighting games or Skullgirls itself.

And I'm not hating on him for that, I'm voting for him with Eliza next round, but I think he's cleaning up among the "normals."

So the most abnormal character left, appealing to the "normals"? That's... interesting.

I wonder what kind of voice Stanley would have...

Sadly this also means that #1 is likely far ahead the rest, which is kinda disappointing.

He or she would still lose with the appropriate final 4 combination. For example, if the mysterious top contender was Stanley or Wulf, he wouldn't be able to beat Annie/Eliza if the top 4 was 3 guys and one single girl.

Maybe, it's a bit hard to say with certainty. It really depends how far ahead they are. If they're ahead by something like 1000 votes, it's a virtual certainty that they're in.

Vice versa too

Yeah... that is a huge freaking wall. Like, I don't even think that is likely.

The character that could be ahead by such a number is Stanley due to the "joke character"/meme factor... but I doubt it, to be honest.

I think you're putting too many chips on the boyz vs girlz thing.

If it's 250 or less, there is a mathematical chance that the vote will not necessarily go their way in top 4. If it's 250 or more, again, statistics can basically show that the chance for another character is exponentially lower.

I should note that these statistics assume that at least 12,000 people are voting, and if everyone is voting there is more wiggle room.

Places 2-5 almost tied? That makes me very curious as to who #1 is, that's for sure.

I can't wait to see the voting patterns after both rounds are over.

Hmm... Looks like I'll be voting for Annie and Isaac.

So calling some of her specials reading rainbow now.

Sagan has grown on me a lot. I wonder what they have planned for him.

#TeamAnnie
#TeamSagan

She feels out of place IMO. Put her in Arcana Heart instead. Besides, her palette is fugly.
When her competition includes a shark scientist, an Egyptian diva, and an otaku time goddess, nothing is out of place.

I wish they would at least tell us just how many people voted.
They don't need to - they never made a secret out of it. It lists 15,874 backers on the IndieGogo page. Thus, there are 15,874 votes.
