since when did "sophisticated" become a term of endearment? It's just a way to describe something. It has no intrinsic positive or negative connotations; just a surface analysis of degree of difficulty.

EDIT: Just got an e-mail from a few friends who were at the marathon today, they're ok but rattled. They saw the first bomb go off and just bolted, really glad they are ok.
