PlayStation Store 04/16/13 - Dragon Fantasy Book I (YOPO) | Soul Sacrifice (Demo)

The US store hasn't updated.

Yes, I'm serious.

Which lead me to ask : why on earth would you do a maintenance thing on the day of a store update ? Or even the day before, I didn't follow the thing.
You have a whole week to fuck up your service and wait for the content update ?

It wasn't planned maintenance as far as I'm aware.

No shit, tell that to the guy who implied Soul Sacrifice was available on the US store if you used the direct link.
I responded to a post that didn't mention the region with a post that didn't mention the region. What you infer from that is your concern - when asked for clarification I clarified.

Maybe they'll allow for preorders in the US store now after the long wait? :-o

...one can dream.

Yeah, your post was perfectly fine. No reason to get riled up.

I gave up after 6PM, I just went played R&C and got my 142nd Platinum and the store still hasn't updated

Fucking Amazing

Watch them update on our Old School PS3 Update Day: Thursday Update Anyone?

Why do they keep everything last minute, last week they were like oh we'll let you know, we haven't lockdown everything, and that was Tuesday, the update day... Unfuckingbelievable
Same with the Rewards for the spend $50, get $10 back, hey April 12th, you'll have it!, oh by the way now it's April 13th 2AM for East Coasters...

Also some of you guys need to relax, one meltdown doesn't give you leeway to talk down to me or say that I'm dead or some shit, grow the fuck up

We might be breaking a record with the overtime for the US update here. And we are all participants in that attempt to break the world record!
Feels good man.

But the EU version was already up on their store and could be found easily, so when you mentioned it wasn't on the store and couldn't be found easily it was a natural assumption you weren't talking about the EU version as that wasn't an accurate description of its status at that time.

Bah, sorry for being a grump, I just want my Texture Sacrifice.

goooood morning! :) ...

uh,...

wtf?!...

no update. no explanation. no nuthin'. sorry - this store crew needs a shake-up...

There is an explanation in the OP. Shit sucks but it is a bit more involved than "GCT".

They may want to schedule routine maintenance a few days after store updates in the future.

I am downloading the Soul Sacrifice demo on our work Vita.

I hope it's rubbish but if it's what I think it will be I'll have to buy one myself :) Looks Dark Souly and Monster Huntery :)

Or they should give proper heads-up if things are going to be delayed. And I don't mean "oh it's delayed" SIX HOURS AFTER IT HAS BEEN DELAYED. I mean THE MOMENT they realize it's going to be six+ hours delayed.

Checked at 11pm est before going to bed - nothing
Checked upon waking up at 5am est - nothing

Figures it's the when I want the Soul Sacrifice demo. Coulda been any other week and I wouldn't have cared.

I'm beginning to think about what Cerny said about the PS4 auto-downloading items. It's like he's saying "We still won't be able to update at a set time - so we'll have the console pull things as we can get them up."

And not keeping you at the edge of your seat with "stay tuned for updates", and 0 since, if it isn't going to be done until the next day. Seriously?

Can't believe I am waking up this morning with no store update! I'm not going to be home for 12 more hours, I hope to all hell they can figure this shit out by then. How embarrassing. Certainly makes me rethink a PS4 purchase if this same crew is going to be running their online store.

Hey, glad you could make it.

I did what you did after a while: played a game and had a good time.

Jebus... 142 platinums? I feel so inadequate. :)

Please understand we want you to be excited.

It's a bit sad that nobody in the "gaming press" has the balls to actually go after Sony about this.

"Gamers again showed their entitled attitudes on Tuesday with angry forum posts at NeoGAF and elsewhere after Sony was unable to update the PlayStation Store due to unscheduled maintenance. Sony did not respond to our request for comments, as of press time.

In our opinion, It's sad when people don't take into account that things happen sometimes. After all, they're only video games. The games and demos will come, probably later today, and all will be well. So do something else for awhile. Go outside. Read a book. Things will be okay."

[Not an actual news story.]

"Things break"

We really need a Shoe interview:

Why does your US store team suck and never update at the set-time they should be updating at?

SO AWESOME.jpg

You seem to forget that you're on a gaming enthusiast forum. Saying "go outside, read a book, calm down" etc isn't going to cut it for a lot of us here.

And it's not just this one specific instance that's drawing so much ire. It's the fact that this keeps happening. Microsoft, Nintendo, and hell, every other branch of Sony can keep a steady, consistent update schedule, but SCEA can't. And at a time when Sony is touting PSN as a major component of the Playstation 4, something like this reflects poorly not just on them, but on the potential reliability of one of the core pillars of their new system. So don't give me that "entitled gamer" bullshit. There's plenty of valid reasons to be justifiably unhappy about this.

EDIT: ...you were being sarcastic, weren't you? *sigh* My bad if so.
