You are currently having a meltdown. You should stop having a meltdown.
These knee-jerk reactions happen every single time a new Zelda game is revealed.

"The Wind Waker HD doesn't look like The Wind Waker"
"Skyward Sword is too inconsistent with its art style"
"Twilight Princess is too dark"
"The Wind Waker is too cartoony"

The art style looks great to me. Can someone explain to me why people don't like it? I seriously don't get it.

As a Nintendo fan and a Zelda fan, I am fucking mad. What the hell are they doing playing with legacy to try and create Paper Zelda? What the fuck is wrong with Nintendo?

Is this actually real? What the hell? What the fuck made them do this?

Why do I own this console?

Link ain't pretty. He looks plastic. And also exactly like the old 80s/early 90s concept art. :P "I want a game that looks like this!" you all said. WEll, here you go. Jerks.

That's probably stamina.

Every time people! Every time a Zelda game gets announced.

Well that was some FF14 reveal type rollercoaster of emotions. Man does that artstyle look like trash. Even worse than PH/ST.

Finally something that makes me want a 3DS... I never would have guessed that they'd release a direct sequel to LTTP.

The only problem is they're going to mess it up with some contrived mechanic based on the 3DS control scheme.

Miyamato said he wanted to revisit LttP about a year ago, good to finally see it.

Not liking the art style though, hopefully the emphasis on the 3d mechanics play out well.

Not feeling it.

Is this real? Maybe its in alpha or something. Want to see a full trailer.

People in this thread are cray, that art style looks awesome. It's a pretty conscious throwback to the 90's concept art. It's a little weird though that the camera angle is steep, hides link's face the whole time :/ Neeeeeeeeeeeed more video

Yeah this looks way more like a sequel to the DS Zeldas, minus touch screen controls.

I'm OK with this.

Also, 2013 for Europe!

If they remade the DS Zeldas for 3DS Without the touch screen controls, they'd automatically go from the worst games in the franchise to the second worst games in the franchise.

The art style sort of reminds me of claymation. Hmm I dunno. Its not how I hoped the game would look, but hopefully I grow to like it (Like what happened with Skyward Sword).

magic meter also depletes while turned into paper link

so yeah, probably that.

It's 2013.

Honestly at this point you should forget about any faithful talented 16 bit restorations or followups. It never happens.

Seems a little too bright but I'm excited, Link to the Past is my favorite Zelda game.

i'm emailing mr. nintendo with this post right now, maybe they'll listen to a voice of reason like yours

3DS can run a 3D Zelda as we saw with OOT but still go back to 2.5D would be more hyped if it was a OOT style game but will keep eye on the ugly art direction thing

This is actually what I imagined Zelda 64 to look like before I saw OoT. Can't believe we're getting aLttP2 and not a remake. That is definitely a good move.

I can't see how you could be disappointed in how this game looks.

It's top-down, OG-style portable Zelda with LTTP-style look in 3D and 2D. Like, how could you dislike it? I can understand not being impressed...but actually disappointed? Unless you wanted the game to be another full-3D title like OOT or something, what could you have been looking for?
