STEAM announcements & updates 2013 II - ITT we buy $1 games and complain about them

I still don't even know what the Groupee's bundle that everyone keeps talking about is, but I got La Mulana a few weeks ago when it was like $4.99 on pre-order. Still though, having played it for about 6-7 hours now, I would say it's worth the full $15 price tag.
It was a "pick a couple of games which are currently on Greenlight and get a Steam key for La Mulana as a bonus if it ever gets approved" kind of bundle. At the moment I wasn't interested, but now I feel like asking Morningbus for one of his patented groin kicks.

If I have DLC for a GFWL game on Xbox and I buy that game again on PC, would the DLC carry over?

Durante was talking about a new solution that biases motionjoy the other day. I'll see if I can find his links.

Edit: give this a shot : http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/

From my basic understanding, it uses the same custom motionjoy driver, but entirely replaces the frontend that requires you to be online.

Looks interesting, but from what I can gather, you still have to use the default Motioninjoy installer? I don't know, it's not making much sense to me. Someone in the comments asks how to install it, and the response is:

You’re welcome!

1.) Once you have the MotioninJoy drivers working, you run Better DS3. Then you can use Better DS3 to assign your controller mappings, and pair bluetooth controllers. You shouldn’t uninstall MotioninJoy, but once you have the drivers installed you don’t need to use DS3_Tool anymore. Better DS3 doesn’t need to be installed, just copy it to your computer somewhere and run it. If you want it to start automatically with windows, just drag a shortcut of Better DS3 to your Startup folder.

2.) No, currently the drivers can’t be loaded and unloaded with Better DS3, sorry.

So I assume that in order to "get the Motioninjoy drivers working", you have to download and run Motioninjoy. That's probably a deal breaker, given the impression that the software left on me last time I used it.

Yeah, I believe you're right. You'll still need the official MotionJoy exe to install the driver, but you'll never have to run the official MotionJoy software to configure and pair your device.

Edit: I'm also getting sick and tired of my tablet's autocorrect. I meant to type bypasses, but it changed it to biases in my previous post about motionjoy.

That's nice. I was expecting $15

I'd assumed the game was 1200 Space Bucks on XBLA too, but as was recently pointed out to me, it's actually 800. An understandable mistake considering how much Microsoft has "encouraged" the $15 price point over the years.

Make a thread

alright, but I think the private group is still a good idea since the OT is bound to become black-bar spoiler land in like, a couple hours

it's hard to figure out how we can do it but I really wanna recreate the original release experience when people were trying to figure out the puzzles and there was no internet answers

$35 a good price for bioshock infinite?
Yes. Definitely one of, if not the, best games this year. Solid 13-16 hours and quality throughout.
Fez pre-orders will go live on April 22nd, and as I'd hoped there will be a 10% discount during the pre-purchase period, making it $9.

Thanks to the ghost of Grief for the heads-up.
Didn't Fish say this was a comfy couch game? Hehe, I'll be getting this at some point, heard a lot of good things.

Not really concerned with the quality as I don't like the series. Just the relative price because I like to buy stuff.

If you don't intend to play it now, the game will surely be cheaper than that this summer, and cheaper this fall than this summer, and cheaper this winter than this fall. There's no such thing as a good deal on games. Prices decrease and decrease and decrease until they bottom out at $19.99 MSRP - 75% = $4.99 and sometimes they even decrease from that.

Anyone like Condemned for PC? I remember seeing it around Xbox 360's launch period and it seemed like a good game. It's on sale right now and can be redeemed on Steam.

I'd say no. Wait for a sale.

Don't buy it until the terrible technical issues are finally resolved by Irrational. Its been almost a month and the stuttering issues everyone faced have not been fixed.

Ok the nays have it. Thanks guys.

I seem to have also received a Duke3D coupon. Time to buy.

Edit: Actually, I'll wait until Steam Support sorts out my Company of Heroes 2 situation.

Edit edit: Ah, bugger it.
