I thought I heard or read that a bomb squad was on their way for one package left on the road, I haven't seen anything saying that they planted bombs throughout the city though.

I dont really have an opinion on if these are the marathon bombers, but I can see police being so on edge that something small could escalate explosively. Tons of police involved may mean little in itself.

The police on the scanner did mention something to that effect as a precaution earlier. He might be referring to that? Not the city but the police did say IEDs around where the suspects were throwing grenades at them.
Sounds like the 2nd suspect is still at large. Dammit I lost my scanner feed.
