This police censorship seems a bit extreme.
He just said "Watertown, New York" and then said "Pardon me if my geography isn't amazing" lol
At first, the police said they had both. This updated information must not have gotten to CNN's producers yet.
MSNBC has gotten on board with coverage of the incident. (They're also using the WHDH 7News footage.)

No one knows. One guy on the ground doesn't look like either of them (thanks for posting the screencaps, I only caught a glimpse on TV), but he could also be the witness they mentioned on the scanner.

Some girl in the area on twitter posted something like police told her to get off her cellphone if she wanted to live. Maybe I'm wrong but it read to me like an implied threat that they would shoot her otherwise.
May not be a good time to say this but I hate how police can be such overreacting meatheads.
