Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

I can't imagine why people are curious about a Boston cop chase involving explosives two days after a public bombing.

As someone who lives very close to all of this, it's not hard to fathom why.

I thought these guys weren't related to the marathon explosion?

That's not how the meme works, Jesus. You guys are making me feel bad. I know it'd be scary as hell to be in the area, but I'm merely observing that these crimes aren't unheard of but I've noticed this one seems to be taking the world by storm in particular. I seem to have really offended some of you, my apologies.

Damn that's horrible and sickening.

It's weird. The girl in the blue outfit and shorts with white and blue shoes can be seen in a later photograph running away from the bomb about 30 feet away from the bomber. She just happened to leave that area at the right time and just happened to be right next to the piece of crap that was going to blow her up. Life is strange sometimes....

I just tuned in, excuse me GAF but has the gunfire exchange concluded or is it still going on? It seems like at least one of two or three of the assailants have been captured, and whether or not they're related to the Boston Marathon has yet to be investigated.

Is there currently worry that these suspects in Watertown have placed explosives across town?

FYI, "code black" can also mean a deceased person admitted to the ER. Wait for verified info.

A car chase involving a stolen state police SUV and a series of explosives being dropped out the window

Less than an hour after a campus police officer is shot

Two days after bombings of civilians at a marathon

Yes, why would anyone possibly think this merits interrupting programming during the all-important 1AM ratings hour for? :p

...

what it is, I don't know.

Heck of a coincidence, throwing "pressure cooker bombs" out of car? goddamn

So much misinformation this past week through, I can't bother to make sense of any of it until the dust settles.

how on earth would anyone know? it's breaking news in the middle of the night--you're complaining it's getting too much attention, or acting bewildered that it would get attention, but you can't seem to put 2 and 2 together to figure out that the uncertainty of the situation is the majority of the reason why it's getting attention.

I know it'd be scary as hell to be in the area, but I'm merely observing that these crimes aren't unheard of but I've noticed this one seems to be taking the world by storm in particular. I seem to have really offended some of you, my apologies.

yes, actually, people using explosive bombs in residential areas in boston is pretty unheard of.

and again, people replying to breaking news threads at 2 in the morning and someone on reddit using caps in their thread title doesn't mean "taking the world by storm".

Code Black clearly means a lot of different things in different places.

"eastdakota" appears to be speculating.

Codes are commonly used in hospitals to describe emergency situations. On the 2006 episode of "Grey's Anatomy," which is set in a hospital, "code black" indicated a bomb threat. In fact, this is in line with the Emergency Incident Command System, according to John Patrick, an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Harvard Medical School and a doctor at Mount Auburn Hospital. Supported by the American Hospital Association, the Emergency Incident Command System is a template used by many hospitals for disaster management. In that template "black" is used to indicate a bomb threat.

May be on-point.

Dude :/

Stream said that the suspect in the images on the ground was released, they let him go it was part of the confusion they thought he might have been one of the suspects so he laid down I guess. I could be wrong but I think the stream just said that like a minute ago? An eye witness said he saw them let the guy go and it was a misunderstanding.

We don't know if its the same guys yet. And two guys hurling GRENADES AND BOMBS at local police two days after a marathon bombing is pretty much unheard of.

Guy being put into the car looks kind of Hispanic but hard to tell. I think its just too much of a coincidence we have seen two suspects, one on the ground and one being put into a police car and we can't say 100% that it isn't them. What are the chances of that? And explosives? This shit has to be related. Whether its the guys in the FBI photos or partners of theirs.

Dogs being sent in.

I have CNN on and local news on the computer. It is INSANE the level of difference in reporting. CNN has nothing, complete utter garbage.

Local news >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> national news

CNN stopped being a "news network" a long, long time ago. They've had no integrity for years. It's moments like this we realize they're all buffoons who don't report news, but use news to entertain. Big difference.
