SUSPECT IS FROM NEW ZEALAND BUT JUST SAY "AUSTRALIA" CAUSE LOL SMALLER WORD
Chechnya's political status is in dispute and has been for a long time. Russia has some claim over the territory, albeit a weak and arguably illegitimate one based on conquest.

It's like if a Kurd were being spoken of as being an Iraqi, a Tibetan as Chinese or a Basque referred to as a Spaniard.

So I live in a dorm. I walked downstairs at 7:50am today to get to my class at 8 and there was one of my friends from Boston starring in shock at the TV in the common room. I walked over to him and asked if everything was alright. He pointed at the TV and said "See the guy on the right, I knew him in high school and he is still on the run". Scary how close to home that can hit for some people. My brother also lives in Waltham, right next to Watertown.

BTW if they can catch him alive...is this a Boston or a Federal case? I guess anything deemed as terrorism is Federal? Or not necessarily?

Most classes of crimes are either state crimes or federal crimes. Some, both levels have jurisdiction--including certain classes of murder charges. If that's the case, the feds can opt to prosecute or leave it to state jurisdiction or both can prosecute (this doesn't count as double jeopardy). Typically with a case of this magnitude the sentence would be multiple life sentences or death so there's no reason to go through a second trial. There is a federal ADA on the Boston Marathon case, but she hasn't released any information about what charges she would press.

And all of that was posted here shortly thereafter. GAF does the same type of thing, they just don't have the manpower that the reddit community has

You've said this several times in this thread, but I don't get it. People on GAF are clearly interested in this, but there was no organized effort here to sort through photos of the area as on Reddit or 4Chan. Insofar as GAF members contributed to misidentification nonsense, it was largely from reposting and discussing things they found on Reddit. No original content was being produced here and there's no evidence any posts from here spread anywhere else.

Looks like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode

Please, can we get the important details, and ask the big question... did these boys have access to video games.

I want to know what Ja Rule has to say about this, can someone please contact ja?

Or Will.I.Am

Al Jazeera spitting truth right now, about how releasing personal info on the uncle on twitter was a bad idea by the media, will lead to repercussions for family. He said sometimes they're tripping over themselves to get the story first, when that's not always responsible thing to do.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, apparently when they get stuff raw they don't turn into complete morons. It's only when they get the time to spin it when they do. Man this is so tense, but I have to leave.

Here's hoping for no more deaths.
It's because they hired a good chunk of decent, actual reporters from the local farm teams, but that doesn't bring in money.

CNN and MSNBC are far too NYC/DC centric. FOX will throw out to local affiliates or people in the area far faster. (I have no idea why NBC sucks at this.)

BBC used to be decent at this in global stuff, but I've found FOX is beating them there often. (Discounting Al Jazeera who has been pretty good at doing the same kind of FOX spreading people out model.)

They threw bombs out the car, and had suicide vests on...

While their behavior certainly makes them obviously more suspect, it doesn't definitively prove they were the bombers. Its highly likely given the information we know, but there have been numerous situations where people's fight/flight response to activity by law enforcement made them appear to be criminals (i.e. running, pulling weapons, shooting at police) when they weren't the people that the police were actually after.
