Making a break for Canada?

Two unidentified people were taken into custody at the Cambridge, Mass., home where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his older brother Tamerlan grew up, but they were not being described as additional suspects. Three dozen FBI agents were ringing the house. he Federal Aviation Administration has established a 7-mile no-fly zone over Watertown.

Has there ever been a manhunt like this? Even before social media and stuff? This many people on lockdown, this many members of law enforcement? Has to be totally unprecedented right?

I am still dumbfounded that this 19 year old kid has managed to stay hidden this long.

I've given Al Jazeera crap in the past because I wasn't that familiar with it, but every time I've watched their coverage, I've been really impressed.

Agreed. There have been plenty of times I've been watching something good and then looked to see the Al Jazeera symbol in the corner.

NBC: One suspect is believed to be in the Boston area. The other is believed to have taken a train to Connecticut

these are accomplices

I think Al Jazeera and FOX News are better than many of the other sources on breaking news. They have great networks.

I have no idea what has happened to CNN's.

The analysis sucks on all of them.

Wow I guess I expect more denial out of the uncle, instead of straight to the rage phase.

The brothers’ uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, told CBS that his nephews arrived in the U.S. around 2001.

“They do not deserve to exist on this earth,” he said.

“I just wished they never existed. I am wordless.”

Their parents live in Russia, the uncle said.

Dzokhar was a quiet boy, Ruslan Tsarni said. He called Tamerlan “a loser” and said of his death “he deserved it.”

But the younger brother, who in the spring of 2011 received a $2,500 scholarship from the city of Cambridge, has been “a nice, quiet boy," the uncle said.

Although, the last quote makes me wonder if the younger brother will be less inclined to go down fighting.

Agreed, this seems pretty large to lockdown Boston as a whole.

Quite possible. From 1999-2001, the brothers went to school in Makhachkala, Dagestan. Then left Dagestan as young kids to Kirgistan then to US one year ago.
According to what I just heard on the radio this is false. They have apparently been in the states for years and went to school here. NPR just had an interview with someone that went to school with the one on the run.

That's fine. They are still faster than gaf in terms of stuff like this. It's numbers really. Plus the iama are good, when's the last time Obama was on gaf?

I admit I have gone to reddit for imma but for situations like this GAF is better because it serves a a filter for Reddit's unnavigable interface. I get they have more numbers than us. I choose not to go because many many on GAF are also on Reddit so I feel like only the best and most relevant information comes to GAF by way of them.

Just woke up after going to bed at 4am. So the missing Brown student isn't even involved? That's a relief. I was feeling awful for his family. Can you imagine how awful the last night must have been for them.

NBC reporting that law enforcement are looking for two accomplices. One in the Boston area and one believed to be on a train to Connecticut.

THIS EXPLAINS WHY THE WHOLE CITY WAS SHUTDOWN
