It's nothing to do with downloading. Something to do with displaying a bunch of animated gifs. This isn't too bad as mine only stuttered for a second scrolling past the quotes, but in GIF heavy threads it can cause some serious issues.

I have a pretty ballin computer here at work and gifs just always bring Chrome to its knees. The best way to quote a gif is to just remove the / in front of the second img. People can always follow back the quote to the original source by clicking the > on your post anyway.

So it seems from what I understood:

1- They stole a car
2- Tried to rob a 7-11 (maybe for food?)
3- Went to MIT
4- Got into a fight with a cop, shot him dead.
5- May have split at this point, with one going back to the vehicle they had hijacked, and the other (old brother) taking another vehicle.
6- Older brother throws explosives out as he escapes in a car.
7- Eventually caught up, and is wounded in a firefight with police (then dies later).
8- The other left the car somewhere and has been on the run since, possible after having been in a shootout with police (video of the shooting with police from last night).

Irresponsible media perpetuated this by mentioning the Internet theories at all, though with social media it's almost irrelevant what the MSM does, at least for anyone under 40. And what I mean by that is that they were interviewing a former classmate of white-hat guy and she basically said she saw the pics and it looked just like him but she didn't think to say anything because "everyone was saying it was that Sunil guy." Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Feel so bad for Sunil's family though, man they have been taken through the wringer over the past 24h.

Yep exactly like the Newton thing where the internet and media went with the shooters brother and were telling him to go to hell and die. He didn't even know what was going on and he had to find out his mother and brother were dead.

I still don't understand how this guy escaped. It seemed like he was holed up in one location with tons of cops surrounding every exit then an on foot pursuit happened and he escaped. I know they had a mile or so radius blocked off and were checking the residential homes individually last night but idk what happened after that.

Out of all the coverage CNN was the worst. They were going on rants and constantly airing naked guy way after we found out he was innocent and more interesting developments like the on foot pursuit was going on.
