Totally a tangent and not for nothing but in some jurisdiction, use of marijuana is indeed a criminal offense. In Nevada for example, possession of under a certain amount is a misdemeanor but use (of any amount) is a felony.

Where's the law you're referring to?

InfoWars/Prison Planet must be having a field day right now. Alex Jones is probably blowing loads in his pants right now.

I doubt anyone's ever tried in the US because why bother?

But if you did you'd, at the very least, have a problem with the right to confront witnesses.

That is not justice, that is only revenge.
Justice would be to finding him guilty beyond doubt in a court of law.

Even if it is just a show trial and no sentence can be handed out, it would be a testament to the justice system of the USA.

You can't try a dead man. The defendant has legal right to face their accuser, which is obviously impossible when the defendant is dead. Without being able to do that, a trial can not occur.

It took 3 or 4 months to catch McVeigh, and he was only arrested on a routine road stop for a license plate violation; he voluntarily admitted to having a gun on him which he was booked for, and it was only like a week later in jail that he was identified as the suspect for the Murrah building bombing.

So comparatively this has moved quite quickly.
Very quickly. But that's how most manhunts work out: you either have a lucky break and find them asap or you're in for several months of long detailed work.

One quick question, The suspect had a weird name, where is he from? I though he was Greek at first but I can't figure out the race of suspect though. He looks Israeli and the suspect one slightly Indian or Arab. But they seemed mixed enough that I can't tell for sure.
Russian Caucasas.

Is this a serious question?

Yes. I admit I am rather ignorant on the subject but I was always interested in how that works.

Freedom of speech. You can say you did whatever you want. And in MA, where it's decriminalized, it's like asking how you can get away with admitting to jaywalking on national T.V. Hell, our last few presidents have talked about smoking something illegal on national television without any reprecussions, why would we give a shit about some kid?

I wasn't aware it was decriminalized in MA. But how far does that rule extend? Admitting that you smoked a blunt (illegal in most states) on national television is ok, but what about other, more severe illegal actions?

lol CNN has "BREAKING NEWS" that's just a repeat of what they've been saying for the past several hours.

Don't even know why I thought it would be something new.

Yes. Verses from the Quran told them to kill Americans

Let's not be obtuse here. Saying that some people have interpreted their Muslim faith to attack the USA is not an untrue statement.

You can say that's not 'real Islam' or they are just a small minority or whatever. But you can't deny there has been some people driven to violence by their interpretation of their faith.

Ah, that pesky Quran, always telling people they should kill Americans. Could you cite the verses please?

I'll wait for another thread to be made for that, but I never stated they did it to kill Americans. It could've been infidels or non believers.

I've heard quotes from the dead suspect himself, and family members saying he became a devout Muslim the last two years.

2 + 2 = 4.

Attempted to rob 7-11, they killed an MIT police officer, hijacked a car, stole a police vehicle, threw explosives out of window during chase, got into firefights in neighborhood, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest going off(suspect 1), and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place(suspect 2) .

This was the DA statement and press conference earlier, may be off since I just jotted it down, but is generally what I heard across those sources:

Quote:
-something at MIT (Building 32? led to shooting of MIT cop (died))
-carjacking in cambridge, kept hostage for 30 minutes
-robbery attempt at 7-11
-another carjacking at some point (?)
-car chase (?), grenades thrown out, explosives maybe of some sort
-shootout: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cqo1Ad6spkY
-suspect #1 (black cap) dead
-suspect #2 (white cap) still on the loose

Also note that the first suspect was run over as #2 tried to escape. According to news sources now.

So apparently the 19yr old got into a firefight with army of cops yesterday, stole a police car, managed to lose them while throwing bombs out of the window?

Almost Dorner escaping on a horseback tier.
