Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

Well done Boston PD. Showed the utmost professionalism for taking a bomber and cop killer in alive.

Someone on BBC commented on how few countries that would happen in. I wonder how many cities in the US alone that would happen.
Handled extremely well, I really thought there was only a slim chance of this actually happening.

It's for the better that he was captured alive, but I have to admit there is a large part of me that really hoped that he would die a slow, painful, and terrifying death as he bled out in the boat with the police force closing in around him.
I'm sure they'll respect his rights and such, but I really hope there is plenty of pain in his future.

Party!! Started pizza and beer like 20 minutes before the capture, just poured another beer.
Very good beer btw. Dat Tripel and Imperial IPA blend

It was more than that if you include all the crews called in for this afternoons search of that neighborhood. New Hampshire State Police were part of that search that was so important to his ultimate capture.

It was basically every possible unit available, ATF, FBI Gang Units, U.S Marshalls. I wonder if it was ultimately up to the FBI Hostage Rescue Team since they were probably the highest ranking response team there.

You are a piece of shit.

And you are an overzealous piece of shit. I felt the same way... sort of. This whole ordeal was nothing short of amusing if anything. Felt like I was watching a heist/getaway flick minus the uh ben affleck (Thought "The Town" was great) or queen latifah (Set it off?).

All this USA USA USA shit is too much. We're all fucking thrilled they got one guy a live, but holy shit, this whole situation still fucking sucks. Not much to be happy about at all.

So was that "2 bodies in the house" thing wrong? Or did they mean 2 people in the house and not 2 dead bodies?

I assume the homeowners.

One homeowner at least had been holed up there during all of this. He later saw a tear on the boat tarp, and went out to investigate. He peeked in and saw a "bloody mess". Then he called 911, three officers came, saw the blood and a person. A gunfight then erupted.

LITERALLY LOL

I am glad he is alive. Nurse him back to health, make him talk through intense torture then kill the fucker slowly and painfully. Let some death row gonna die in jail inmate take the fall and just give him freebie treats from the jail commissary.

the guy with the green shirt in front of cnn's camera trying so hard to look cool on camera with the phone in his hand deserves to be punched in the face

Not sure if it's been making the rounds or my friend made it up himself, but...

Q: Why did the Chechen cross the road?

A: To get in a boat and hide.

I don't know what to say about the authorities up there. Tremendous job in handling everything, by both Boston's finest as well as Federal officers.

Hearing the dispatcher announce the second suspect was taken into custody was chilling.

But yeah... it's nice having some closure to this, especially when you're one of us who have been actively listening to this story since midnight last night. Now I hope they can stabilize him so we can find out why.

The kid killed an 8 year old with a pressure cooker filled with nails. Think about that for a second. Let that settle in your brain for a while.
