lol at the USA chants

Doesn't seem right to me, both of the guys are american.

I agree that the chants are dumb, but I understand the celebration, and the Boston Police + Watertown Police + FBI + ATF + Whoever the fuck else there did a fucking fantastic job. I'm thrilled the got him alive. The whole situation just sucks though, I'm not saying I've never felt super patriotic and shit goes right, but I still don't feel good about any of this. Doesn't feel right, to me, to be chanting. Like others have said though, a lot of it is sort of tongue and cheek, so I overreacted a bit probably. Regardless, I shouldn't be tellin folks what to do.

Obeezy is on!!

This whole thing and the way people are reacting scare me so much. So much eye-for-an-eye mentality, bloodthirst, suspension of basic rights for everyone, mass hysteria by the American media, cheering for death, etc. It all seems very, very disturbing, as if some people go into this animalistic panic-mode.

I mean, everyday citizens are killed in gun-related violence, foreigners are detained for 11 years without trial, a country has been invaded resulting in the death of 4500 soldiers and hundreds of thousands Iraqis, Pakistanis are extrajudicially killed by unmanned American drones, etc.

I only wish American society would allocate as much attention and vigilance to these self-inflicted atrocities as much as they are doing with this tragedy.

This is not meant to be inflammatory, but act as a call for more humility, more consistency, more decency, and try not to be swept away by the alarmist messages that force people to give away their basic rights or forget the many deaths within and outside of the U.S. society.

Was up all night on the scanners. Then had to go to work. Got home and ate, and saw they got him alive. Time to build him up, to tear him down.

Just arrived home.

How was the capture moment? He was hiding in a boat, but how they discovered him?

Suspect left a trail of blood on the tarp of the boat that a neighbor saw it and called the police. I think this female neighbor looked inside but I don't believe that... only that if he knew he was being spotted, he'd head out and hide somewhere else.

I'm not interested in torture or rape or anything crazy, but him being a kid doesn't matter really. He's legally an adult, and it's not like he ended up turning himself in willingly. He ran over his brother trying to escape, used explosives, had another shoot out with cops at the boat they finally took him from. Dude was fucking nuts and willing to take anyone down until the end.

I really hate using this word, but what can you call this besides evil?
