Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

I really hate using this word, but what can you call this besides evil?

We don't know exactly how that played out. The surgeons at the hospital he was taken to never mentioned him being run over.

This is the first time in hearing the third victim's name (Ling Su Lu).

So who is dead in the thread title? Or is the one getting caught alive is the one that 'at large'?

Suspect #1 (older brother) was killed earlier this morning. Suspect #2 (younger brother, otherwise known as the guy in the white hat) was captured alive. He was the one who was still on the run and was just now captured.

YES, rape torture and slow painful death at the very least... You brutally kill and injure people with bombs. Then cold blooded assassinate that MIT guard and everything else they did running from cops and throwing explosives etc etc etc.

He is not a human being. He does not deserve to live in a cell and eventually die from a needle in his arm.
Get this shit out of here

Dumbest shit I've read in a while. Congratulations. Western society works that criminals face trial and go to prison.

You want him to be raped? Go ahead and be the first one to do it so.

Wait. Was the brother dead before he ran over him? Somehow missed this.

I am fairly certain he was already on the ground dead, but I have no way of confirming any of this. I think it is safe to assume that he accidentally ran his brother over while trying to desperately escape the police and he had clearly been hit, possibly in the leg or neck, already

First suspect, the older brother, was killed in a shootout last night. The younger brother, suspect #2, was just caught.

Ahh I see, thanks.

Damn though, 19 years old? That young and already causing so much tragedies to so many innocent lives.

That is just extremely, extremely sad. He still has a lot of potentially awesome years ahead of him if he is just an ordinary young man enjoying life. What a terrible shame.

One positive in the developments is how this rubs it all in the conspiracy theorists' faces. The reaction of people even with all of this law enforcement presence wasn't "omg police state" but relief and support. What we saw this week does not correspond in any way, shape, or form, to the image of the world conspiracy theorists want to project. Every little detail they tried to use to claim there was a conspiracy was brought down by logic, facts, proofs, at every corner. We have ALL seen how witnesses, news reporters, and every one who repeats claims can be so wrong.

People can blame social medias all they want, the difference is this time it allowed bad information to be eliminated quicker than ever. Police and FBI information was made available more frequently, news reporters could more quickly retract statements, new details could be released faster, etc.

I expect Alex Jones to quadruple down on this being a conspiracy, because what happened this week really dismantles his case and has shown everyone what the "real world" is like, something that wasn't so obvious in 2001. The real world isn't mysterious, it isn't a big show, it's what we saw this week.

To be blunt you seem to be in the same ilk as those politicians who used the Sandy Hook shooting to further their agendas.

You may say its not meant to be inflammatory, but take a step back and actually read your own post. Its anything but.

Dont use this incident as a stepping stone.

You are not thinking clearly.

This whole thing and the way people are reacting scare me so much. So much eye-for-an-eye mentality, bloodthirst, suspension of basic rights for everyone, mass hysteria by the American media, cheering for death, etc. It all seems very, very disturbing, as if some people go into this animalistic panic-mode.

I mean, everyday citizens are killed in gun-related violence, foreigners are detained for 11 years without trial, a country has been invaded resulting in the death of 4500 soldiers and hundreds of thousands Iraqis, Pakistanis are extrajudicially killed by unmanned American drones, etc.

I only wish American society would allocate as much attention and vigilance to these self-inflicted atrocities as much as they are doing with this tragedy.

This is not meant to be inflammatory, but act as a call for more humility, more consistency, more decency, and try not to be swept away by the alarmist messages that force people to give away their basic rights or forget the many deaths within and outside of the U.S. society.
People are cheering, yes. But that he was caught alive mainly so he can face the court system hopefully. So justice...

I'd like to think that the attacks were largely orchestrated by the older brother. :\

Pretty sure he died at or en route to the hospital? Although the chest wound is pretty large.

And that photo is STILL UNCONFIRMED by the way.

So glad Obama called out the internet detectives and tried to stop anti-Muslim/anti-whatever else feelings right away, not saying it'll do anything but I'm happy he at least mentioned those two things.
