Boston: One dead, one captured, city re-opened

Let's not go nuts. The FBI talked to the older brother. Did nothing.
The Boston PD didn't find squat. It was a private citizen that found him. In fact they let him get away, then spent the day failing to find him after calling in thousands of officers and the National Guard. It was worse than the Blues Brothers movie.
I can't wait to see the taxpayer's bill for this little escapade.

Are you serious? Get out of here with that. As a Boston resident I want to shake every single officer's hand that dealt with this. I want to personally thank them. They were amazing and really professional compared to what you hear out of some other bigger cities.

Oh, god. What are they saying? They have never been worse than they were this week, and that's... pretty bad.

Basically said they were within earshot of negotiations with the suspect by the boat, cops saw them and told them they were in the crossfire and to get out, so they decided to sneak onto the roof of a nearby house...? lol

Nobody finds this odd at all?

So glad Boston didn't have to bury anyone else after all this. Perhaps we'll learn more why they did this now. Also happy to see police and civilians cooperating, whole parts of a major city stopped to let them do their work.

Heard the younger one ran him over.

From what it seems with earlier reports, the younger one ran him over after the older one was shot.

If that picture of the body in the morgue is suspect 1 (older brother) and with the bruising you can see on his head / face, my guess would be he got struck in the face by the vehicle.

CNN knows they're in the stink and they're desperate. Dunno how many balls they can drop, but they found a way to drop and roll every ball tossed their way.

After a negotiator spent some time talking with him.

^ Yes he surrendered, obviously didn't want to kill himself (like his brother did.)

Where did everyone hear this? On the news conference after the police chief (?) mentioned they had a negotiator but was not communicative. I believe he also said some people went in there and grabbed him.

One Police officer died.
15 got injured.
Thousands had worked countless hours on high alert.

After this week, it's still scary that there's so many people at the commons because who knows if there is more people that could be in the group the brothers were in if they were in a group.

lol @ CNN basically boasting about their reckless journalism.

As opposed to social media's reckless "journalism." I know people like to make the point that CNN is professional and social media is not, but both reach millions of people at any given time. People follow what others have to say on social media and spread that information without any corroboration. CNN may have announced false arrests (based on three sources) and been late to the game with some information, but social media essentially jumped the gun time and time again and was proven wrong time and time again including accusing people of murder based on skim visual evidence without any accountability.
