It's kind of sad looking at his friends twitter accounts and seeing the denial.

They're just trying to stick up for a friend. They probably in a state of disbelief, like his Aunt was... how is this possible? he was such a nice boy! etc

I don't know how anyone here would react being a friend to a person like this, but there would definately be a "there's no way my friend would do anything like that" from me.

No worries, a neighbor spotted the blood on the tarp of the boat and saw someone was inside and called the police. The kid surrendered after negotiations and visual safety confirmation from the robots after two hours.

What's kind of incredible is that this kid was pretty badly injured and still managed to outrun the cops last night, stayed in this boat all day still bleeding, and still had enough in him to fire at the cops as the approached. Fucking nuts.

I also found it a bit funny, which is bad, I know, given the tragedy it proceeds and all. Having said that, I'm a huge fan of Game of Thrones and now feel like I need to start watching Breaking Bad lol.

Yes but usually sociopath are as such from childhood no? I'm not sure this is really the case here.

I've known people who are similar and never killed anyone. It's usually a lack of structure in their lives, no life goals coupled with comfort (pampered, living at their parents' houses, etc.) and this makes them self-centered. Then all you need is for them to get in contact with someone who has "drive" and they'll follow them without thinking.

A LOT of gang members fit that profile, and the reason is they are often from a broken family, not working, and find refuge in peer-driven "drive" or protection. Not sure I'd say they are sociopaths, just people who grew up under the kind of circumstances that favors developing a mind that is unable to express empathy.

Listen, I just wanted to cut the throbbing tension a bit. It was thick and people were moaning about a silly picture. I'm glad that GAF was on top of the story, especially with all the ups and downs, I think we nailed it.

I don't think outrun is the right word. There was limited visibility + he's a small guy. Not hard to hide in the pitch black either.

I was watching a Discovery show the other day about a guy who escaped from prison. He evaded officers on two separate occasions by laying face down on the ground. They walked right by him. It was hilarious when he told the story of the second time he evaded them. "So I did it again, just laid there." Name of the show was I ALMOST Got Away, lols.

There was no robbery. The "robbery" was actually the carjacking according to the Boston PD.
