lol, wha?

Same here, considering by that time I'm kinda hoping to buy a ps4, which would mean that in about a year from then my ps3 will be put in the box to be played only when I really want to.

That's a good point. Looks like I'm getting it for Vita too. I wish more games had cross-buys, so I wouldn't have to choose.

Vita version for me. The portability of it is a massive draw for me. I've always wanted to be able to take FFX with me and soon I will be able to.

An October / November release is fine but I wish Square would hurry up with the details and at least give us a window as to when we can expect it.

Oh and a new trailer more than a minute long would be nice too

aww we don't know how they'll do the prices for the Vita version? I only want FFX-2.

I really don't want to give SE any money for the piece of shit that is FFX for the PS3 version.

My guess is that they'll just have them $20, maybe $30, each for the Vita.

They'll be $30 each. That seems to be the standard pricing for "cheap" retail Vita games and HD remaster or not, the franchise is still to big to dip below that.

Sounds right, but I'm going to hate that, since $60 for both games for Vita. Instead of $40.

MGS2 and MGS3 are sold at $19.99 each on PSN for $35 for both. They'll be insane to price them at $30 a piece, sending a product that's not likely to sell a whole lot to even further death.

Yeah, that'll come up a lot, but Them's the breaks I suppose.

Yeah, no. MGS is popular, but nowhere near FF popular and I'm not talking about PSN anyway, I'm talking retail.

They're Vita games. They're already destined to not do very well (at least initially), so SE is more likely to try and make what money they can.

I thought of something, anyone think if we start a kickstarter for SE to make a FFX-3 think it''ll happen?

That isn't how Kickstarter works, though. Square would have to be the one making the kickstarter, which isn't something they would do. They'd also have to pitch X-3 specifically, which I really don't think is in the cards. (Then again, I never thought there'd be a Final Fantasy XIII-3 back when FF XIII came out, so...)

So just get X-2 for the Vita. That should tide you over until you realize FFX was one of the series' best.

Expect them to be $30 apiece. It's Square Enix, first of all - they put a premium on their old games. Remember when Final Fantasy I and II were remade for the PSP? Square charged full retail price for both games, even several years after Dawn of Souls had been out. They still want $15.99 for Final Fantasy III on Android. FF Dimensions for iOS was originally $30. They're absolutely going to charge $30 for these two.

RE4 HD and Veronica were 20$ and 10$ for + members when released. This probably will be 30$ for each game, yeah. Square Enix are fucking peasants now so it would be suicide to sell it lower than this.

OP says international edition for FFX. What did they add in that? And what did they add in X-2?

X: an optional Expert sphere grid, the Dark Aeons (bonus bosses), Penance (superboss), and some new abilites to learn. You can also put some new abilites on equipment (Ribbon!).

X-2: more dresspheres, garment grids, and a monster arena. You can also fight against tons of characters from X and X-2. (example video here)

Won't it make sense if the prices were like:

FFX|X-2 PS3 - 39.99
FFX PSV - 19.99
FFX-2 PSV - 19.99

?

FFX and FFX-2 PSV for 29.99 each is kinda steep. It'll be more expensive than the PS3 game.

Did any retail Vita game price around $19.99?

FFX and FFX-2 PSV for 29.99 each is kinda steep.

It's not steep at all. Both games have more work going into the remasters than Persona 4 Golden, and no one complains about that game being $40.

The only issue is that it will probably be a better deal on PS3. But $40 each would be perfectly fine. If they do it for $30 each, that would be a steal.

Not that long ago no one even knew X-2 was being remastered. They could have easily sold just X for $40 without complaint on Vita.

If the International content as DLC rumor is true I can see the Vita versions including them with the $29.99 price.

I thought it's not really rumour, but wishful thinking from our part...
And why would they include it in Vita version if it's dlc?

They say the DLC is almost impossible because its contents "overwrite" the old content. So if they add DLC and you download them, you'll have to basically restart the game.

The thing is that the international content existed 10 years ago. There's basically nothing new in these games except that they're going to be localized for the first time (X-2 since the international content never went abroad). Persona 4 Golden had completely new things that were exclusive to the Vita like added scenes, added voice work, added Persona.

Both games have new work going into it. They didn't redo the character models and improve some of the textures 10 years ago.

Lots of work going into KH 1.5 too, like all the CG for 358/2 days.

Don't get it. Isn't the last mission postgame content, why would it affect a game? Or separate part of a game, if you prefer.

Persona 4 Golden had new assets though:

Although I think the KH 1.5 HD Remaster had much more work going on than FFX (the 356/2 Days cutscenes are a big +). But still, they're all good ports.

To be frank, I don't mind the $29.99 price point for each game for the Vita versions but it will make the PS3 version much more attractive than the Vita version.

Last Mission is the only thing that can be made DLC because it's separate (you have to reboot the game inorder to play it I believe). Even they said that they're not sure if they can port LM.

And as impressive as that is, call it what it is: improved content. They're not adding anything new.

P4G is really an apples/oranges comparison. That was more of a Director's Cut then an HD remaster (though they did remaster it.)
