This last round is impossible to predict. Where will the former dude voters be drawn- and how many will just straight up not participate in the final round of voting? I think I may be more excited for vote data than the actual characters being made at this point, haha.

Unless the votes somehow get split by a crazy amount I'm expecting either Annie or Minette to win.

I can get behind giving her Haohmaru stuff. Give her a slow, long range heavy sword slash that hits like a fucking truck and takes like 50% on counterhit or something.

I want Minette to win as I want to see a "joke character" done right so they are not terrible. Also, she is quite adorable.

Manaka of Aquapazza, or heck, even Shingo in KoF fit that kinda bill. If she ended up as awesome as those 2, I'd be quite happy, and impressed.

Not gonna try to compare Madoka with the things you mentioned because I didn't read the manga or see the live action show.

The SM anime is an extremely loose adaptation, with significant changes in content and tone from the original work.

How'd I miss that? Looks pretty promising and I'm glad the DVDs are still floating around. Gonna go ahead and bookmark this show for a nice blast from the past someday. It's a shame this older stuff isn't available for easy paid streaming. :/

Yeah... the fact that she could get tons of sword references completely flew over my head. No way she is only Sol at all. Being the only sword character means we could see a big mix of original and familiar moves in one. There are six buttons so the field is wide open for variety.

(I remember when AnimEgo announced the dub of the Miyu OVA at our local anime con... I had very little idea of what the show was, but seeing you guys talk about it brings back the memory...)
