Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

Zavvi/TheHut: 14 orders so far and 7,93 business day for them to arrive on average. I don't know if it is significant, but The Hut orders were slightly faster than Zavvi orders (7,25 vs 8,83 days with 8 The Hut orders vs 6 Zavvi orders)

Amazon UK (incl marketplace): 25 orders and 1,64 business days on average.

Weird how much it varies within Europe. For me Zavvi/Thehut doesn't make a difference (well it didn't matter much for you either). Usually around 6-8 business days to Finland. One order took close to three weeks. Most if not all of my Zavvi orders in the past six or so months have been sent from Netherlands. Meanwhile Amazon UK isn't any faster with orders arriving in about 6-8 business days. Marketplace items often take well over two weeks. As always, I use all these stores not for fast delivery, but for lower pricing. Just about everything I order is stuff I couldn't care less if it arrived tomorrow or one month from now.

Amazon UK used to be very fast with orders almost always arriving in 3-5 days. But I don't mind as long as they remain cheap-ish and have free delivery (for £20+ orders anyway).

Wow. And how did this turn out?
Still in progress. Printed, signed, scanned and returned a non-receipt form to Zavvi via email last week, but haven't heard anything back yet. Contacting Hermes itself is utterly impossible. They just tell you to speak to the retailer, which in Zavvi's case is always like banging your head against a brick wall. It took three emails on my part before they even managed to send me the link to the form they kept referencing.

"delivered to (a) letterbox" - doesn't have to be yours. Hermes + DPD - worst deliveries ever (to be fair the drivers are paid like shit and if I recall correctly they are paid per "successful" delivery only).
It just baffles me as to why they'd send a standard PS3 game via a courier really. I thought maybe it was because they wanted it signed for, but A) they apparently just stuck it through (a) letterbox anyway and B) you get the same thing with Recorded Delivery and Royal Mail in any case. I can only assume Hermes are offering the lowest price even for delivering standard small packets now.

Everybody seems to have stopped using Yodel for being impossibly shit, yet have simply replaced them with these jokers instead. I guess all budget couriers are much of a muchness.

Anyone know of any good 3DS XL bundle deals, that include the actual games rather than pre installed on the console?

EDIT: Found two at the site that shall not be named (I feel like i'm talking about Voldemort). 160 with Castlevania or 190 with Luigi's Mansion 2. Still curious if there're any other good ones though.

EDIT2: One of them is only a regular 3ds. Whoops. By the looks of it, it'll just be cheaper picking a game separately with the console on amazon.

Is it possible to just create an, for example, Irish club account and get the free game that way? I already have two games on that list and would buy DKCR if I got a free game out of it.

Edit: never mind, I didn't get a code with my copy of LM2. Not entirely sure I'll buy two more games on that list, maybe if I can get them for cheap..

Oh hell yeah! I LOVE these!! I alrady have Fire Emblem (not registered yet) and I'm definitely getting Animal Crossing. And probably Donkey Kong.. That gives me a FREE Monster Hunter or Luigis Mansion 2? AWESOME :D

Which part of Europe is getting screwed? Forgive my ignorance, but it looks like most of the major ones have been covered. Whose missing?

All countries that are not covered by Nintendo directly. Like Scandinavia as well as Eastern European countries. Not so nice for people in those countries but you could still create a fake Club Nintendo account and link it...

Make sure that you have the right country settings on your 3DS and it should be no problem. Worked perfectly on Wii.

Yeah good deal if you live in participating countries. Got Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion and will be getting Animal Crossing. Need to decide which other one I want, hmm. :P

There is a buy 3 pay2 action going on @ saturn in the netherlands. So if you buy 3 games out of that nintendo list you will effectively get 4 pay 2 with this.

That's unfortunate. Sounds like an easy work around for virtual give away's, but it sucks for people that buy a lot of new Nintendo games and can't redeem any physical prizes with their star balance. I'd be happy to help out anyone on GAF with that, if they covered the postage for it.

There's nothing worthwhile anyway ...
If anyone wants to give me his points, I'd gladly take them though...

Ha, I'm sure you would. Unwanted codes welcome here too.. But yeah, I have 5000 stars currently with nothing of interest as it stands. Did they put up the price of the Game & Watch? I'm sure that was 7000 stars before. Not like I was going to get it anyway, just curious.

Thank you so much for pointing this out!
I already have Luigi, Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter, so I'll be getting either Donkey Kong or Animal Crossing for free, depending on which one turns out to be the most expensive on the eshop. :) then, I'll just buy the cheaper one.

Really now?
I have received 2 SNES classic controllers so far (as well as several GBA games in the past couple of years) and am waiting for my Game & Watch to arrive as I save up for my third SNES controller.
I'm very happy with Club Nintendo myself.

I'm pretty sure it it always was 7500 as I remember it being more expensive than the SNES controller.

It's actually being discussed here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=426136&page=20
This here might not be quite the right place.

Drop dead.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding. But really, this forum is filled with Scandinavians. The "official" thread for those news consists of like 50% of Scandinavians hating on NoE, haha.

But you don't get any codes unless you import, and you also need a fake account for the 3DS.

So... that's something right? I mean, my Resident Evil Revelations/Circle Pad Pro bundle that went missing into the ether said exactly the same thing, but who knows. Might luck out.

It is time to purchase some games for my White 3DS XL then ... btw are there any decent microfibre cloths to clean the thing?

Flubit have served me well once again. Go to the sites pictured to get the same price. DQ has dropped slightly since my demand, so you may get it for even less:

Nope definitely cancelled. I did use a code though so may have fucked myself that way.
Those orders placed at £129.99 may well go through.

Some people on HUKD also reported cancellations:

Just received my cancellation emails (Ordered two, one with the £10 off voucher, one with a 10% off voucher)

What's the next best price for a 3DS XL? Is it the £139 deal at Tesco?

Just had my cancellation email too and for all those hoping to get one I was one of the very first to order, before the deal was even hot.

So don't hold your breath people.

And someone on there received a rather interesting email from Zavvi: (does that mean: not for scalpers? The guy had only ordered 2: one with and one without voucher)

Zavvi said:
Thank you for placing your recent order with us.

I am sorry to have to inform you that we are unable to send your order for a Nintendo 3DS as our website is available for Social & Domestic use only.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Very interesting. I guess it would be easy enough to identify scalpers and indies and so on, if most of your orders are multiple copies of the same thing.

Hmmm I did have two orders placed myself, one through Zavvi and the other at The Hut which of course are one and the same. I wonder if that put me on a 'potential scalper' list...?

My Animal Crossing DS XL order still going strong...

I hope I get it, as it is part of my plans to take advantage of the Too Many Games promotion.
