That will remain an unmatched achievement in Survivor history.

I don't know...I think that, in general, alliances usually eliminate everyone outside of their alliance before turning on each other. There have been exceptions, but the only one I can think of -- Chris from Survivor Vanuatu -- shows why you wait to eat your own until there's no one left to get rid of. Keeping Eddie around (especially when he looks like he could dominate challenges -- though that's more theoretical than proven so far) would be dangerous.

I'm wondering about the promo for next week...I know you shouldn't ever trust them, but I don't see how you can talk about turning on your alliance openly without it coming back to hurt you. Though I guess that just means Andrea would be the first person gone once Reynold and Eddie are out...

It's sympathetic to be sure, but I don't really think the arc is there in the same way it is for Dawn. They went to great lengths to show her at her lowest moments.

Yeah, Cochran is getting too cocky too early. While I'll admit there's a bit of a narrative arc in having him be terrible his first season and then shockingly competent his second, as a single-season story it's not very compelling. I'm still saying he's getting a Penner/narrator edit.

Denise was good for that reason, but also bad because she seemed to really get their on Malcolm's coat tails. Malcolm "should" have been the winner of that season, but Denise was the next best.

I was on her team (and Malcolm's...) from the first episode, but there are still people whining about how Malcolm didn't win, and she didn't "deserve" it, and on and on. Her postgame interviews have been remarkably illuminating. She really played an incredible game from beginning to end.

SurvivorGAF has been pretty good toward her, which shows our inherent superiority to the other Survivor communities.
