Am 100% sure MS will show the box.
Both would always need it at E3 and this conference is only a few days before E3.
Plus I still think Kinect might be built into the front.

There were rumors of a breakable controller that Microsoft was looking at to use and Aegies mentioned this on Twitter but I highly doubt they will change something that almost everyone loves.
I think they might look at fixing the D-pad but that's it.

Why? The vast majority of people who will ever buy a PS4 have no idea what x86 is. Also, for all the 8GB GDDR5 bullshit that happened here on GAF, most people don't know what the hell that is either (including many here on GAF judging by many posts). No need for much tech talk at all, drop a spec sheet after the event and show games. People buy systems because of games

that first event was really for developers/'core' gamers. The reactions to it sorta prove it because some people were super excited and almost everyone else was like "wtf? that's it? where's x, x or x".
Microsoft aren't going to come out on stage and talk about RAM. They're going to show the box, show a bunch of kinect crap, some TV stuff, a few games and probably say "holiday 2013"
Xbox has no games brother , only apps and VoD.
OT : I'm hoping to see the online features and what services we are going to get this time. Interested to see if the pass through stuff will work with Sky in the UK.
My kids like kinect but it takes far too much space to use in the standard UK home , would be interested if its better at filtering out stuff going on around it.
Just renamed so their names fit their purposes this gen better.

I'm wondering if Microsoft has an exclusive with Twitch for Durango. I know they were suppose to come out with a TwitchTV app for the 360 but nothing. It most likely moved to the Durango.

I'm surprised the controller will probably look pretty much identical to the 360 one with no touch on it. All that's different is the guide button replaced with a smaller one and the trigger buttons much easier to press in. Hopefully the dpad is much better too.

Excitement was high for the Xbox and then vgleaks and always on killed any hype on gaf and now every bit of good rumors is laughed at and it is commonplace to speculate as the Xbox being shit before we have any real info on it. I'm just gonna wait and see. I'm pretty sure even an excellent reveal will result in gaf nitpicking and ridiculing.

I actually bought one solely for Blu-ray and MGS 4. Blu-ray actually was something new at the time. Now, some type of RAM certainly doesn't influence my decision that much xD
And while I don't care for specific parts at all, Cell was promoted so heavily and actually had some serious hype around it. Even our freaking chancellor at the time showed it off at one point.
Sony definitely doesn't have this kind of pull with the PS4.
I have to imagine profiles and cheevos will carry over.
Despite the gaf hate I can't wait to hear all about the nextbox.

Looking at their other devices (Windows Phone & Surface) your current profile with it's achievements will migrate over to Durango.
What I want to know is if there will be two LIVE environments ( 360 & Durango) or one large ecosystem with both populations able to interact with each other.

I also remember the Sony thread being really fun and full of hype. I think maybe it's just that was the first "real" announcement of next-gen. Maybe if Microsoft had gone first the tone would've been the same. All of the negative rumors haven't helped the cause either of course.
I'm excited too. Definitely a lot of pre-hate on the system.
What about the Games on Demand bought? Since there's going to be a 360 SoC, what do you think will happen? Will I be able to download them on the Nextbox? It would be fantastic!

Heh, I think any item no matter who created it would garner unbridled hate if those rumors were/are factual. I must admit, it should be an interesting unveiling. Hopefully, we will finally get confirmation of those rumors. Nice if achievements carry over. I got quite a few of them.

The more I think of it the more I believe there won't be much games shown in this May 21st reveal. First of all, it's only one hour - if they have multiple speakers coming on stage they're going to spend time introducing the speaker, have their intro speech, etc. Sony's 2 hours seemed to drag near the end though. 90 minutes would be perfect...
I watched 360's reveal on Youtube last night and it was underwhelming, to say the least...the show didn't seem to have a consistent focus. Maybe MS will be better this time around.

You could look at it that way. Or perhaps it's because he works for Microsoft and would say that to keep hype building for their own reveal.
I'm not expecting too much game wise from the May 21st event. I think as MS have said themselves, that will be saved for E3, but I do expect them to show off the console, Kinect 2.0 and dispel some of the more questionable rumours that have been making the rounds.
I'll be happy just to see Alan Wake 2 and whatever this game from Black Tusk Studios is - as I have a feeling it's going to look very impressive.
