You're a bad person and you should feel bad. Beatrix is probably one the best designed female characters in my opinion.

I legitimately didn't think she'd have this kind of sway. Like, I even saw the same kind of points you two did at the same time, but I just did not think she'd be top 4, let alone THE PICK.

I'm flabbergasted right now. I'm also hoping that all my Annie friends in here aren't formig a lynch mob for me. >_>

Or, they will all vote for him like they did with Eliza. Beowulf missed the top 4 by 9 votes, he already has a strong fan base. And add to that all the new voters he's gonna get this round due to people realizing he's the only guy with a real chance and I see him getting the spot.
 
This is such a hard pill to swallow.

All I can do now... is rebuild the fish kingdom anew, and take to arms for the next encounter.

I think you're forgetting that he likely got most of the bro's 2 votes in top 8. Which means that even if he's popular, he's not popular enough to actually take it against other top 4 contenders.

I'm not too surprised she got far tbh. One thing I noticed is that a lot of times she was people's second choice, which is how she got that far, and then when the other top characters eliminated people's main character all the votes just, kinda merged and resulted in the landslide we saw.
 
I'd like to see some stats, but I can imagine them being held until after the second vote to prevent meta voting.

While I never voted for her until all my original picks were gone, she was always the one I didn't dislike out of the other options. Basically my forced alternate.

That was almost certainly Eliza which means that the new poll is probably wide open.

I don't think Eliza's votes will just rally among one person. They could splinter enough to get both Beowulf and one of Stanley/Panzerfaust/Isaac in the top 4.
 
I honestly do not know who to vote for next round that I like and has an actual chance of not getting screwed over unless Juju is available or something.
 
Was it confirmed they were going to change the voting process? I thought they were only going to limit the time between the rounds. Changing it so you can actually hurt a character's chance by downvoting seems to give the previous finalists an unfair disadvantage. Fuck it, heading to sleep.

I disagree. The fact that four guys made the top 8 is what hurt him. So many people assumed he'd be safe, so they voted for Stan, Panzer and Isaac. That was a mistake. The male vote must channel their support onto Beowulf next time, and I think they will.

And he's gonna get a lot of the Eliza base too IMO. I see so many people assuming that Eliza just got in because she was a "fallback". Being a fallback alone is not enough, she has a very solid base which I see having a lot of crossover with the male vote, aka Beowulf.

What is clear though is that it's far more likely they will rally around a female rather than a male. Beowulf might be a top 4 contender round 2. He won't win round 2 though.

One of the characters had a big lead in the round of 8 as well. Was almost certainly her.

As I said before, I don't expect her to win, especially if people are allowed to rank characters and all the people salty over her making the top 4 vote her, Minette, and Aeon at the bottom to get them eliminated.

Nah, there was a significant number of male characters in the top 8 which splintered them. Isaac especially had a lot of votes it seems.

Why would they rally around a female? I think it's more likely that people will be pushing for a male character now.

They aren't doing the ranking system; they would need to be really dumb to do it.
