Skullgirls DLC Character vote | The Campaign united us, The Voting will destroy us

Nah, Mike wanted to hold it until at least this week's Salty Cupcakes.

you've hurt me so much, and now this delay... so is the new voting going to be the runoff system? I've heard everyone say it but no official word

I'm giving you my vote right now
1. Annie
2. Minette
3. Screw everyone else

She should have half a Kamina shade

I definitely brought it up before that she should get some over the top eyewear. Something like a North Star worn sideways (tail end of the star streaks diagonally downward or upward) or a crescent moon (totally not thinking about practicality here, just cool space related shapes) or maybe shades that have a built in nebula/starshine effect like Cosmic Mario in the Galaxy games.

Then again, this could just be my inner Gainax character design fanboy at work:

 
If they redesigned Annie I would have no qualms with it. Her current design is okay, but she looks like an Adventure Time character that accidentally got sucked through a wormhole that leads into the Skullgirls universe. I find that to be part of her appeal, but she doesn't scream TV star, magical girl or star warrior.

Her popularity must surprise everyone because the way they talk about her on stream makes her sound like a meh character to the team.
Because TTGL is overflowing with awesome. So much so that it can make ANYTHING awesome.
There is a good reason no one else in the cast gets to rock Kamina's shades.
I couldn't resist.
Kimlinh would be proud.
 
Is there anything extra needed to get a PSVita version going though? Or does developing for PS3 also net you a PSVita capable version of the game?
I'd assume that it's less work going from ps3 to vita than say Wii U. Framework hooks for psn should be the same. What makes me worry is the ggpo based net code. Vita might not have enough horse power to run it properly. They do have a Mac and Linux port going so it looks like the Z engine is pretty portable at least.
 
If we ever get Skullgirls 2 it should definitely include all the proposed characters.

Just so Annie fans get their way too.
 
SG2 would probably be capped at eight new characters unless Capcom buys the IP and illegally clones Mike Z.
Ok, leave out characters like Aeon and Hubrecht.

Edit: What the hell am I thinking? Hubrecht would be an amazing troll character.
How? Everyone loves the big bruiser. He'd be the new Haggar except more huggable.
 
I've been skeptical about the alternative voting / instant run-off method that we'll be using in this next vote but this video a Gamefaqs user highlighted really explains the benefits of the system.

I'm convinced!

With this method the base splitting that would occur with people simultaneously going for Annie and Minette (as an example, not saying that the bases are necessarily analogous) is mitigated and a character that's more representative of the base's wants is chosen.

Yep. But it also means that if there are lots of people who prefer them as the 1st and 2nd choice, they have a huge chance of getting a victory over a character like Beowulf, who likely has a very vocal minority (again, by getting rid of strategic voting, it's likely that characters with less likely pluralities may get preferential treatment).
