Metal Gear Solid V announced (PS360, open world)

Come on guys, MGSV will end with Solid Snake fighting Big Boss in Outer Heaven, and Hayter is voicing Solid Snake.

That's what I'm thinking. Snake's going to show up during the game and having Hayter talking to Hayter would just be horrible.

It takes sweet dick all effort to print a decent looking t-shirt, wrap your head in a bandage, and post a video on YouTube. Come on. If it were an official tease from KojiPro, it would be something more.

Well, David Hayter has changed his profile pic to Solid Snake and tweeted on April 18th: "I know things about things you know nothing about."

Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit yes. Not sure how I missed that, must have gotten overlooked with the whole bombing chase.

I had kinda thought of the same thing originally. That would be a great way to end the "Solid" saga. Full circle (or "returning back to zero" or whatever the fuck he was talking about).

Didn't Solid Snake and Grey Fox have a fist fight in a mine field at some point? imagine that!

Yeah they fought in Zanzibar Land in 1999, and it basically plays out like the last fight in Metal Gear Solid (i.e. Gray Fox fights Snake in Metal Gear D then hand to hand afterwards).

I don't think it will happen but it would be pretty neat if Kojima could mask small details that would eventually coalesce into the ending of Metal Gear. There are some details he would definitely have to retcon for it to happen though.

"Hey guys, I'm giving this noob false information about our base."

"Brb, this asshole actually cheesed his way through it."

MGSV - The End.

Could easily be that no one asked him because Solid Snake isn't in the upcoming episodes, but they're going to begin with unannounced ones which do involve Solid Snake, which is why Hayter won't voice BB because he's past the point of cloning which is the snapshot that Solid Snake was taken from.

And Liquid and Solidus have different voice actors so if there are any other clones that we don't know about (child Snake) then each one could have their own VA, hence 'V has come to' being clone number 5 much like V for Vendetta.

I'd rather John Cygan voice Big Boss than Richard Doyle.

Will they honestly go that far in the timeline for a Big Boss vs Solid Snake? That's covering quite a bit, unless of course there's time skips, that's okay I guess.

Since when Kojima gives us more? He always either tweets a picture or a picture half covered by a piece of donut! xD And we all go crazy about it for an obvious reason

That actually came to my mind the first time we saw Ground Zeroes gameplay. Would be cool to see in a more personal detail what happens to Big Boss after.

This is starting to turn crazy... again. I wasn't around during the development of Metal Gear Solid 4, but is this the standard level of Kojima's craziness?

Sort of, although I think Kojima is having quite a bit more fun this time around.

There was that xbox MGS4 thing that made fan boys rage haha.

I agree, but I don't think Kojima plays like that, he's too deliberate to not make it be something bigger.

Absolutely. The fact it is there and in that place is meant to signify Oni/Demon/Big Boss' fall from grace/whatever, but how it got there will likely be grounded in reality... or at least as much reality as Metal Gear affords :)

That's my tuppence, anyway.

Sorry if this was posted earlier, I looked and didn't see anything. David Hayter's website has a video of him avoiding a near death experience with a CGI plane crashing, with: THE END? at the end of the video. Definitely odd.

That's from 2008 or something.

Well, don't know about Kojima, but we are certainly going full circle...

The "Big Boss vs Snake" as final battle theory... was one of the very early ones... the "Metal Gear 1 & 2 Remake" as well...

I think the video is a little bit on the fake side... but..."look closer detectives"? Is he talking to detective gaf?

Strange.... seems like a taunt... which nearly confirms it as fake...

However I can't say I haven't looked at the videos a couple more times to see if I missed anything...

(To be honest, I'm not even good at it...)

If this is the game that finally closes the gap and ends with a BB and snake showdown Kojima should have some fun and have 2 endings.

1 the canon metal gear ending where Big Boss is defeated by Snake and a second ending where Big Boss wins and starts a full scale war with zero with outer heaven.

It would be pretty silly.
