Some of us prefer to play portables and have no objections to the portable Lego games.I have LEGO LotR on the 360, it's a great game. Made me pretty nostalgic for the movies, actually. That said, I hope it's a Vita title as I don't have one and I'd prefer a new PS3 game instead, haha. Not really fussed about Dark Souls either, isn't it supposed to be ridiculously difficult? Not really going to attract people buying PS3s and wanting an "instant game collection" if it's notoriously hard for new people to get into.

Thomas was alone us gamers moment is kinda ugh. But it has grown on me ever so slightly towards the end. It has a nice pace to it.

I would be okay with Lego LOTR for a chill out gaming session.
They already gave Ratchet & Clank All 4 One and the first Sly HD so far fellow GAFfer.
Sly 1 was on EU+ last year, not sure if that means we won't see any more of them or not.
I'd expect it to appeal to a certain kind of non-gaming demographic. It's challenging in that it demands patience. Not everyone wants their games to be "cinematic experiences" where there is no lose-state. Dark Souls for example is for the kind of people who want to play chess against Kasparov with nothing but one rook.

Alright, geting that too. Man, I didn't expect to be spending so much on PSN this week. Here's to hoping they launch another Spend X get Y back deal. =/

Can you buy Sly 4 for PS3 and get the Vita version as well? I think it worked that way for the retail version, but I'm not clear if it's like that for the digital one.
You should look for it tomorrow in the store. IIRC, some of the DLC's attached to the games in this years Spring Fever have also been discounted even though they haven't listed them in the plus blog posts.

It's decent. Only buy if you're an MGS fan.
-No trophies (may be a dealbreaker for you)

It basically served as a stop-gap between Tools of Destruction and A Crack In Time.
Imo peace walker is extremely overrated while portable ops is extremely underrated.
Portable ops is the best one imo, i really loved the managerial part, using traitors in missions, complex levels, sometimes it can be hard, snake has charisma etc, all things that were cut in peace walker, in pw the level design is plain and made of irritating and repetitive interconnected mini maps, the managerial part and captured soldiers are futile, and snake is no more than a pedo babysitter.

Sony need to get more of these Collections and PSN games up and running on the Vita. It's by far my most played console.

Having to drag soldiers around killed it for me. The fulton was a fucking godsend.
Dragging soldiers is a pain but think about it:
peace walker: with fulton you can take every soldier that is nothing more than a statistic of the base.
portable ops: you have to drag soldiers to the camion, this is slow, dangerous, and tiring for the character, so you have to strategically plan how to deal with every enemy soldier(killing him/ko and grag him/ko and trying to do everything before he wakes up), every time you ko a soldier you have to decide if he is worth all the trouble of not. Every soldier has stats and a class, soldiers are not statistics but useful people to get informations and bonus on missions, weapons or equipments or to be used in missions. Taking a soldier or not really can make the difference.
Portable ops has to be played strategically, planning everything and going with caution, is somewhat similar to the way i played demon's souls.

Same game, but iirc the Vita version does take a graphical hit. PS3 version includes the Vita version for free btw.

And Sly is cross-save also? That makes it a little more wothwhile.
Ya, debating why I should pay $7 more to also have the ps3... Are cross buy with the physical copy only for a limited time? Has sony ever said one way or the other?
