The therapist in the Michael trailer reminds me of someone, especially the voice, I can't remember exactly who.

New helicopter camera??
the car's slide looks so realistic.
I wonder if they are afraid to go back to the 90's or 80's.
Trevor already looks insufferably monkey cheese wacky. I'd have traded him for a dirty cop who gets in deep with the others and has to hide his/her dealings from the LSPD.

Probably just for the trailer. Maybe we can use the cinematic camera angle to get this though, would be nice.

I'm with you, I love me some varied weather. My problem with GTAIV is how it took out from San Andreas and how bland the city was after having such a rich diversity in SA. The excuse I thought to myself was "new engine, new rules, new problems for the programmers". I don't see how R* wont rectify that with GTA V.
If anything, I'm disappointed with the modern setting and lack of snow. I wonder if they are afraid to go back to the 90's or 80's. I'd love realistic weather-- winter, snowstorms, rainstorms... The vibe in San Andreas and Vice City was stunning. Imagine playing that with occulus rift.
I didn't get that with GTA IV or 3. I hate the urban domination of both those games. GTA seems amazing with the right theme. The way the world comes to life in VC and SA is the pinnacle.
Hoping GTA V's diversity and comparted themes end up surpassing what they had. I love how it can possibly have something for everyone.
Eh, a couple of key missions being like that would be fine. But I'd get tired of the game fast if every mission turned into Pro Heist Manager 2013.
Cliched portrayal of a black guy trying to leave the hood, there doesn't seem to be much depth to his character besides that. You can say Trevor is also a bit of a cliche but he suits the role of being the main character in GTAV quite well, and Michael definitely isn't cliche.
So Michael>Trevor>Franklin.
They look good.
Of course if you think a "huge budget" can overcome console's technical limitations, that's another issue.
You can't overcome physics by throwing money at it.
Interesting. While I agree about the hoodrat escaping the hood is a bit cliche'd, I'd say Michael's character is about the same, for every Menace To Society, there's an Ocean's Eleven, Heat, or something similar.
That's the point of GTA characters, they ARE cliche's of what is going on in society. I don't understand why people haven't just accepted this.
The characters in Watch Dogs look much better for example and not because of horsepower reasons.
All three characters are a deconstruction of the GTA classic character, they have said as much.
They should be seen in this optic, more than individual characters.
That would have been awesome. They need to build and entire game out of being a dirty cop Shield style.

I am a little disappointed by that too. Not enough to kill my interest, but disappointed still.
Why are people fucking acting like this doesn't mean one can be more interesting than the other???

What are you guys going to do when you first boot up the game?? After the inevitable escort ai companion to his safehouse mission, I may just go on a rampage blowing up running over people and ramming cars. I could probably play GTA V for a month just bullshitting around before ever touching a mission. I knew people that NEVER did missions in GTA.
"Not because of horsepower reasons"
Talks about a game shown on PC, made for next-gen consoles and also getting a last-gen release we haven't seen.
People expecting that much of a SANDBOX game on LAST-GEN consoles really need to get a fucking reality check.
Dont a lot of games use better models in cutscenes? Im mainly talking about how bad the characters look in those.

Yeah but you don't want to create a complete disconnect from gameplay to cutscene, especially if, like they said, they want to have them seamlessly integrated in the gameplay, like in Max Payne 3.
