New Dragon's Crown character trailers

Loving the crowd control abilities of the Sorceress. I want to try pairing her up with the Wizard - Freeze them all, then Blow 'em all up!

Fighter looks like a beast too.

You wouldn't guess this is a beat them up for vita we're talking about.. with the 10 thread a day on GAf..
 
Not really sure how much of a support character the Sorceress is. It looked like her spells did a lot plus some covered the entire screen which is someone you wouldn't normally have on a "support" character.

I imagine it's more like everyone has a some moves that might be geared towards something specific like the fighter's shield move for defense (assuming it blocks damage) but everyone has high offensive capabilities when played right.

Almost everything she did had properties of support. She's not so much an AoE character than a Crowd Control character. Every character in the game is going to be able to hold their own solo because it would be bad design otherwise. But obviously everyone has group roles

Support in the context of a game like this means crowd control.

I think the fact that her breasts are ridiculously massive is the exaggeration in the art style, but that's not to say that she isn't being sexualized. Because she certainly is. So is the Amazon, just with a different part of her anatomy.

All her stuff seems centered around crowd control moreso than damage. While her spells look powerful they probably don't do that much damage, and are more worth it for the utility. (Her Ice and Petrification spells immobilize while the tornado and lightning cloud launch and disrupt enemies.)

I'm sure every class will be able to solo, but I think it's clear from their videos that Sorceress was designed for more of a support roll while Wizard is the vaporize enemies with magic class

I guess so. So more hard CC while Wizard is AOE deeps.

What I really want to know regarding the Wizard/Sorceress is how their summon/polymorph abilities work.

Like, will I be able to fill the screen with summons like in DF Online for example? That would be pretty cool!

EDIT: After looking at some Mystara videos I wonder if DC will also have the house rules, challenges and destination choice mechanics.

Heh, suppose that was setting up for an easy come back. I'll probably play a Sorceress though, I like crowd control and stunning enemies more than pounding on them.

How does the combat work though, is it combo based or are certain triggers dedicated to say, ice and stone attacks?

I'm guessing it works with a weak/strong/use selected ability/ jump set up

Probably a trigger or button combo for dodges/blocks and shoulder buttons to rotate through your items/spellbooks
