I couldn't tell either.

I think it's supposed to be a full body suit but it really looks like she's naked. If you watch it untill the end it really looks like she isn't wearing anything lol.
That wouldn't make sense though because (spoilers)
if memory serves that's supposed to be Yuna (or Rikku) and their skin isn't so dark.

Man, stop bumping this thread, I keep getting psyched more and more for this to come out..... I can't wait to play this on my beautiful OLED screen.... One of my favorite games of all-time...

Probably already posted, but I got an Email from SE this morning with the below.

I got an email from Square this morning telling me the the Final Fantasy X / X-2 Remaster is 'Coming Soon'

No more information at all and just a link to the official site.

Are they just trying to troll me or what

I think they are trolling, if it is coming soon, then it might be a june/ july release!!

Soon, probably means E3 for more info, considering its only a month away? A better trailer would be nice. This will probably release this winter.

There needs to be a new rule: publishers can't say something is "Coming Soon" if it's still 5+ months away. :/

Yes. Just like we have a "real translation" of the 1-10 game review scale.

We need a "real translation" of what the following all mean:

"launch window"
"coming soon"
"please be excited"
"West (as in England or America, when they fail to make it obvious)"
"Remake/Remaster"

and many more with proper regulation/law requiring strict definitions. :)

No no, you have to think of it from the perspective of S-E. 5+ months is soon compared to how long certain games have been in development over there.

It's akin to Valve Time. "Square-Enix Time".

"Coming Soon" is the Square equivalent of "Please look forward to it *bow*", followed by a 6-month delay so they can work on re-releasing some game you've already bought 7 times on iOS.

What's wrong with the save points?

I don't recall having an issue with save points in FFX anyway, there's always seemed to be plenty of save points. FFX-2 had a couple areas (like underneath Bevelle) where save points are rarer and thus making your trek through those locations a bit more perilous.

Speaking of release dates, I wonder when we will get one for Kingdom Hearts ReMix 1.5, since that is coming out before this. They just said fall. I'm hoping September.

Ah, like any RPG with no time limits, just power level before going into any dungeon, lol.

Screw the haters, FFX is right up there together with the best JRPG's like Suikoden II and Dragon Quest VIII
and FF VIII

Yeah, still mad about that Edge 5....

Nothing, until the one before the final battle against
Sin/Tidus's dad

There's a boring gameplay segment after it, and an unskippable 15 minute (felt like 15 anyway :P) cutscene, then the battle, which I found too difficult. I probably could have done it, but I haven't the patience to sit through the preceding 20 minutes just to retry it enough to progress.

If cutscenes are skippable I'm back on board :D

That really can't be helped, though. The last save point in FFX is the one right before the game's Point of No Return. Putting any save points after that is a big dame design no-no.

The finale of FFX is pretty long, but it's worth clearing an hour for. If the last battle is too hard, kick some butt in the Omega Ruins until you're good enough (just make sure to have First Strike equipped on someone, as the Great Malboros there always ambush and use Bad Breath first turn).

They probably will be. That's an easy thing to implement, and would be a nice gesture to those who've played through FFX several times already.

Yeah, I would just recommend at least collecting the secret aeons and traversing the Omega Ruins before advancing to the final area. They're fun quests. The boss will be a cinch and you never had to level.

Did you really have trouble with Jecht? If you do some sidequests you should have no trouble with him. Especially if you get holy and/or doublecast

well, I hope we get news next week from famitsu since the FFX-2 HD was shown in jump, which was a bad scan that didnt show much

I hope people don't keep bumping this thread when there's nothing new to discuss. Poor posting etiquette.

Although I understand your point. What do you feel is good posting etiquette? It's not like this message board has forums for each individual game. It's been my experience that until an OT is made within 7 days of release, that people use the last thread to have any real substance as a place to maintain a discussion about the game, or a discussion about the news related to the game.

Posting about how much you hope new media for a game will be released doesn't maintain it or advance any sort of discussion. Especially when you do it over

and over

and over

and over

and over

It's pointless bumping. If people want to reminisce or actually discuss something I don't intend to stop them, but there's no need to wast everyone's time with the same meaningless, wholly unnecessary bump to a dormant thread every week. It's annoying.

I wish there were a super-hard version of Jecht unlocked after beating the Monster Arena (or Penance). Something sort of like Unlimited Indalecio in Star Ocean 2.

Jecht is a phenomenally well-designed boss battle and is incredibly tricky and takes every ounce of strategy you've got if you go straight there without pausing for powerleveling or sidequests. He's just a pushover if you've done, like, any of the extra material and gotten better weapons/summons/stats as a result.

Regardless, nobody is making you click on the thread, read it, or get upset about it.

If there's any real news, it will not be posted in this thread. A new thread will be created.

Yeah, that would be awesome. The first time I played FFX, the only endgame sidequest I did was the one that unlocks Yuna's fully powered ultimate weapon, but having Holy with Break Damage Limit really trivialized the endgame.

Some more information just popped up on Best Buy and Future Shop Canadian websites stating basically that all the additional content of the International versions will be included from the get-go in both games and not as DLC as was believed before.

Here are the links to the shops:

Found the news originally on Playstationlifestile but the site seems to be banned here, so I can't post a link.

Wishful thinking, but I doubt they'll add any completely new bosses to either game, even if they're just pallete swaps with different stats/moves.

I do wish they'd add the option to re-fight the Dark Aeons and Penance, though.

Almost no one believed that terrible rumor.

Interesting that both retailers listed Last Mission as being in, though...
